    Let's get it started beaches.

Who wins this year's College Cup?
This is going to be one of the more entertaining College Cups ever.

And here's a Blast from the Past in 2013:

Hard to pick against 47? straight games without a loss, but I"m a forever Nole fan and am sticking with my pick of the Noles to win this thing!

As Lee Corso would say, "Not so fast my friend!"

Assuming (big assumption) we can get by Stanford, there is natural tendency towards a let down.
Hope we have that opportunity to guard against a let down.
UNC and GU are both capable of beating us or Stanford.

Still 0-0. Exciting game to watch, secretly hoping Georgetown puts it back in the net and gives the Tar Heels a challenging match despite having home advantage. BTW Jules being typical Jules showering accolades over her precious Stanford. I would like to someday see her react to Stanford losing in front of her, I didn't get that pleasure last year but it was darn close.

Let me say that given GU's schedule and conference, I was discounting them. See my bracket.

    I was wrong! They belong!

Good game. It'll be which ever team can be more precise (clutch) in the final 3rd.

North Carolina just wears opponents down with their talent---Dorrance gives 6, 7, 8 subs significant minutes and there is little to no drop-off in athleticism or quality, which means constant pressure on the other team. Georgetown has hung in there and has shown its quality, creating chances, but they've been on the defensive a lot and that becomes problematic the longer the match goes on. Good game.

Yeah looks like Georgetown is slowly getting drained out by North Carolina. If it goes to overtime and potentially PKs, it will definitely favor the Tar Heels. BUT you never know, anything could happen it's still 0-0

Oh, my: the official nearly ruined the game, IMO, with that dubious penalty call. You can't call that with under 6 minutes to go---not egregious enough, at all, and UNC player was running out of the box, her back to goal, when the contact occurred. Justice served with that save, IMO.

Was a record set for number of corners taken? UNC won and fully deserved to, they dominated play. I was impressed by Georgetown though, they have some talented forwards.

In the second half it looked like NC was going to win -- but they couldn't seem to find the goal.

I was impressed with Ashley -- before she made the winning goal and wow, a defensive player running down the middle of the field on a breakaway. You don't see that often.

Pinto made three splendid defensive plays.

    Good game by both sides.

    Better team won.
    1st half was even.
2nd half UNC depth and pressure carried the day.

If GU wants to win a natty, they need to play a much more ambitious OOC schedule.
It is very hard to get ready for Tar Heel pressure. Only a few teams can do it well.

As a Nole and ACC fan, I was rooting for UNC, but simultaneously, I was thinking GU would be easier to play with our style.
It may be a moot point as we haven't gotten by Stanford yet.

I would fancy Stanford over anyone as most would but this was a toughie for them and they are being outplayed. Sometimes that’s they game we all love and if Stanford go out tonight the nation’s best team hasn’t won the big championship but it’s the nature of the game!

Florida's State's great possession game is making Stanford chase far more than the Cardinal are used to. The Noles are incredibly patient and very good at spreading out the opponent's defenders--they drive the ball into the attacking third, often with their good centerbacks, swing it wide, back to the middle, then bring it back out to midfield or even deeper, then drive it back in and then pull it back out....It's been quite a display. The howler by the Stanford keeper is going to make it very tough for Stanford to get back in this game.

Let's score one more goal Noles!
    One great save by Jeffers.
She'll probably need a couple more IMO.
    I can taste it.
