The article mentions 3 ynt call ups from the academy during the 17-18 season. 2 U-14 call ups: https://www.revolutionsoccer.net/po...demy-players-called-us-under-14-national-team And 1 U-16 call up (morris matthews, defender): https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...it-brings-153-players-together-in-single-camp Marzuq Puckerin of cambridge also attended for the U-17. Hes a gk for the boston bolts, so i dont know how that plays with hg rights. Its good to see a small positive sign, but there is still 0 mls-ish level talent coming through the system
Issac angking has been called in by the us u-19 team to take part in the u-20 men's invitational this week. The u-20 team are preparing for the concacaf u-20 wc qualifiers this november, and are hosting this 4 team warm up tourney which also includes jamaica and venezuela. The u-19 team is kind of the u-20 b team (only the u-17 and u-20 teams have major tournaments sponsored by fifa), hopefully issac stands out.
He was suspended by the Revs following a training stint with Frankfurt last year. I don't believe he's currently on good terms with us, but we do retain his MLS rights. He's now a sophomore at Indiana and has recently been called up to a u-20 camp by Tab Ramos.
So another guy, who, if he ever makes it big, will want to play anywhere but here. But this whole thing about players not wanting to come to the Revs is just Fake News, right. Wull, except for all those guys who aren't here...
He must not have impressed tab, he didnt get called in for their warm up tourney for wcq's https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...19mnt-u20-mens-invitational-venezuela-jamaica
Regarding Rennicks, I did read somewhere that they've had conversations recently and maybe the "frigid" atmosphere has warmed slightly.
Patrick leal, formerly of the revs academy, just joined sporting cp: 1038039213399334913 is not a valid tweet id Finally making use of that affiliation

Both Angking and Rennicks are on the 20 man group stage roster for the CONCACAF U-20 championship, which doubles as the qualifier for the U-20 world cup.
U20's vs Puerto Rico for CONCACAF U20 qualifying: Rennicks, 2 goals and an assist (1 penalty) subbed off in 67' Angking, subbed on in 64' with the US up 5-1
It looks like one of the two guys they brought in via a residency program, Francesco Pagano, has already gone back to his former club, Empire United.
Does anyone have a contact with the Revs Academy? I'm sure they get plenty of inquiries and people telling them how they should sign their kid, but if someone can PM me with this info, it would be helpful to touch base with someone there. In case you're wondering, my cousin's 16-year-old son, who plays for the youth team of Modena (Serie B) is interested in exploring his American roots. He's planning on coming here next fall and would like to hook up with a good club. Whether he goes in that direction or winds up playing college ball somewhere, that's something to be figured out once he's here. And since he goes by only one name, "Alex," it's like he's Brazilian, so he must be really good, right? (It has nothing to do with the fact that his mainstream American last name is too hard for a lot of Italians to pronounce)
Bring the boy on over! Even the New England Revolution organization might manage to look like a step up to your nephew when compared to Modena. After all, Modena F.C. 2018 - the new club that was founded following the bankruptcy of the original Modena F.C. in November of last year - competes in Serie D. The original iteration of Modena F.C. last competed at the Serie B level three seasons ago. "The House that Mikey Burns Built" is likely to come across as a testament to organizational stability and ambition when compared to the chaos that is Serie D... the "top flight" of Italian amateur football.
Well, he was actually at the game where the Revs were up 2-1 after 90 minutes yet still managed to lose... He is actually playing for Fiorenzuola d'Arda now. What's that you say? THE Fiorenzuola d'Arda, the Juventus of the Greater Metropolitan Piacenza Region? Yes, one and the same.
