The assumption that United needs Honda in the first place is quite hard to believe. I don't think it's a problem of money for them

Flew under the radar here that he tweeted to AC Milan too but perhaps for the better.
Wish he focused more on what he's doing well, maybe there's no real need to play anymore.

    The feck is Honda doing?

I have always wanted to help you???
    Give me an offer???

I thought his twitter profile was hacked. What is his goal? Looks like a beggar of football? Probably he hate Australian League a lot...

I love it ! Honda gets very much attention and praise in the media for this, cause this shows how he loves football and of course the big clubs dont count anymore that high on him but with this heartfull offer from himself to play for nothing, he has still the chance.

I think he still has the qualitys to play for both of them ,Milan and ManU. In the last 3-4 years he is on fire like hell even it was Australia and Mexico .

I love Honda, and I can't fault him for his passion. But on the flip side, it kinda feels cheap and attention ho-ish. He is great when he has the ball, but he doesn't have the pace or acceleration anymore (that wasn't what he was known for before, but even more so now). Personally I think it's hurting his image as a once-great player, but at the end of the day, it's his life and if he is happy and contempt with this, then good for him.

He's good enough for Milan cuz any average player is good enough for them.
That's why he must avoid any temptation to go there and be part of their collapse.
About United it will be a poor marketing choice for both the parts.
A team like Brescia could be the better place for him but that rumor was probably just BS.

Honda is taking selfie with Iranian girls after Iran-Cambodia match. He was there as Cambodian coach.

    Congratulation for the win mate.

A 14-0 win shows how much Iran are growing more and more clinical in front of goal.

Interestingly, Vitesse are coached by former CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky, who Honda used to play under his supervision there.

Let’s hope we will see Hond back in action before the winter break.

The Berezutski twins from CSKA are also working under Slutsky, reportedly for almost free as they have made quite a bit of money through investments. I imagine they have some engrossing business conversations with Honda.

Slutsky is good. He has a huge part of making Odegaard taking that last step. Great.

  16. Well, it could be something to play in the Eredivisie and prepare for the Olympics here and after that retire in the league his career in Europe started. The circle would be fittingly closed.

I see Honda at the Olympics as a pretty done deal.
    It'd be nice.

The problem is that Honda’s position is the least position to need an overage player. Honestly, I don’t think the Olympic team need an overage player in his position at all, unless he plays as a striker as it was the case in 2010 World Cup, or as a creative central midfielder (in a similar position in which Shibasaki is playing).

Central defence, Goalkeeping, Central/defensive midfield, and striker are the 4 positions in which Japan Olympic team might need an overage player. This was even stated by Moriyasu.

This said, I don’t think Honda will have anything to add to the Olympic team apart from experience and being a role-model to the youngsters. He even might be a liable if he plays, as his pace is much slower than the pace in which the Olympic team are playing.
Kagawa might be a better option as an overage player in the attacking midfield position, or someone like Nakajima as it was the case in Copa America.

It's gonna be of course also a marketing operation, I can't deny it.
I hope him, Fukumori and Shibasaki will be the three over-aged players.
In goal you can have Osako and as forward Ayase Ueda will be certainly more ready with a J1-season behind his back.
