Odd home opener. And I went by their stadium site the other day and did not see anything. It's possible I missed it, but you would think we would have seen a groundbreaking ceremony, some images of construction, something. I have not seen anything.
It is odd. With 15 teams in each conference I guess we will see more inter-conference games this year. Although not every team is playing the first weekend so it wasn't required. I would have went with a 16-14 split.
And I wonder why OC doesn't open until May 6. They're not building a stadium, are they? Have they announced a venue yet? At some point, you have to put that on the schedule. (Also, stadiums are notoriously tricky things, even pop-up ones. Until I see some evidence somewhere that someone's constructing something, I'm going to remain skeptical that they'll have something occupy-able by March 25. And, as it happens, I have tickets to see Lewis Black that night anyway, so I'd just as soon it got pushed back. )
I don't think they are building anything. That is rather odd. I wonder if the giving LAFC time to get their roots into the entire organization before they put on a display at home
Rumored Orange County SC stadium opening some time early 2017... http://www.ocregister.com/articles/park-731069-fivepoint-sports.html (If you remember, this is the one that city denied the that soccer team was involved, which they probably aren't, their just going to rent it).

Rio Grande Valley has their extra games against San Antonio, Swope Park, LAGII, and Sacramento. Kind of surprised about those last two. I haven't looked at anyone else.
Pittsburgh's extras are Harrisburg, Bethlehem, Rochester, and Louisville. Not surprised for the first 3, thought Cincy would've been the 4th with how much they tried to hype it last year
Reno has Sacramento, Salt Lake, Portland and (surprisingly) Orange County. Well I guess it had to be OC or Los Dos
