0-1 loss to Orlando City B was a tough one. The Rhinos were the attacking team and Orlando sat back and took advantage on one of the few chances they had. Difficult stretch over the next week. Tonight @ Charlotte Wed @ St Louis Sat vs Harrisburgh These next three matches could determine if they can chase Charleston for 1st.
Rhinos not really challengedas they defeated Toronto FC II on Wed 2-0. They are ar FC Cinci on Saturday evening. They currently are 6th in the east, 1 point behind their foes for Saturday, but they have two games in hand.
Rhino's win 2-3. Very strange match. If you listen to the Cinci press, they were robbed by a poor official. The Cinci captain said it best ""I've seen that (play) given a yellow, I've seen it not given a yellow," Berry said. "We just put ourselves in a bad position – I'll say that. If you're playing with a yellow, you've got to be careful with the little stuff."
Also, if you have not heard it yet, Soccer is a Kick in the Grass dedicated their entire show two weeks ago to Wendy Dworkin. She is very honest about some of the issues and the future of the Rhinos in Rochester.
Rhinos lose 0-1 to Charleston at home. This match was classic Rochester. Dominate the match, but in the attacking 3rd, they were not clinical at all. Lots of good chances to score, but their ineptitude kept Charleston in the match. A late free kick given up by their most important field player allowed Charleston to score and win. I wonder when the last Rhino scored more than 10 goals in a season.
This team can not shoot straight. They have to be one of the worst Rhinos teams I've seen with the ball in the 18 yard box. Other than that, pretty solid.
I agree that the final third lacks a real scoring forward. The last few years have seen to be goals by committee.
Rhinos now in 4th place with 53 points, 2 points our of 2nd place. That is the good news. The bad news the attendance is terrible. 10 Oct vs Bethlehem 963 14 Oct vs RBNY II 1402 I think this is the last year for the Rhinos.
