The win keeps Indy on the fringes of the postseason race, four points behind Carolina (who has played two more games) and Jacksonville. Not that I have any faith, given the team's injury crises, but it's nice to be in the picture still.

Hurricane season is really playing havoc with the schedule (which of course is much less important than the devastation it's causing to those in the storms' paths). At least Indy will be well rested for its midweek makeup game next week.

Well, that's just embarrassing. We may as well give up on whatever faint dreams of playoffs we had. The players clearly have.

We are just not good. Aside from hat brief stretch toward the end of the spring season, this has been a thoroughly dismal season. And I think we know the moment it all went wrong: during the offseason, when the club declined to compete to retain its best player, Dylan Mares. Mares reminded us all of that fact by scoring for Miami last night.

And so we limp to the end of the season. Based on their performance last Saturday, the players have pretty clearly given up. I've given up. And, based on the dearth of posts in this forum (and even on Reddit), many supporters have, too.
The cliché of "there's always next season" doesn't even apply because we still don't know what the hell is going on.
