He's been playing particularly well these past few weeks, it'd be a shame if he came back to Kashima now. Tenerife will be involved in the promotion playoff so ... fingers crossed.

Maybe a La Liga team will buy him? Who knows.

Shibasaki involved in the setup for the opening goal, then makes a clever diagonal run into the left side of the box and finishes under the Alcorcon keeper to extend the lead to 0-2.

It's not clear what happened when he scored.
Gk error? Long pass turn in an unpredictable shot?

Good to see him score. Lets hope they manage not to lose points in the last 2 games.

Really really good today for his first game back in a double pivot. Strong finish and the scene is set for next year, if Tenerife get promoted, he'll extend. Fingers crossed.

Seems to have slightly improved his defensive aspect. Seemed more willing to tackle and vie for the ball than before.

I've seen a lot of one-touch good passes from him so far.

Damn, they lost first leg with 1-0. Gaku played the whole game.

Scored the winning goal in an overall excellent performance today, Tenerife will play the final ! I'm just scared he's peaking too early, may Vahid remember that when he makes the list for the next qualifier.

    lol wtf ?
Unless his agent is a total idiot he'll try to place him in a first div. team, or remain with Tenerife

I hope that a La Liga team can buy him. Maybe a mid-table or lower ranked team would be interested in him.

Rumours are that Real Betis are interested in him. If he go there, he won't be a sure starter though with the competition within the squad.

Even staying in Tenerife could be good.

No, second League is not good. We are talking about Shibasaki, this guy is genius. He played like crazy in the last 6 month. And no he would be not a bench warmer at a weak team like Real Betis, they can be glad to have him.

I am tied about underestimate japanese players, maybe i opverhype a little but a player like Shibasaki who can score twice against Teams like Real Madrid can be in almost every team of the world a starter when he is given the chance and bring up his skills.

6 month second league with perspective of first division is okay but nothing more please....he need to know his vague, he is very very good and a player JNT needs along side Hasebe.

NaohiroTakahara. "can be in almost every team of the world a starter" are you serious hahah. The least logical thing i've heard on this page. Don't get me wrong Shibasaki's a consistent holding/offensive midfielder but he aint world class I mean he doesn't even make the JNT squad. Yes, he should be playing regular first team football at a midtable team in the top tier of football but don't hype the fella up like he's bloody Iniesta. Seriously be logical lol. A team like Betis would be the perfect fit .

He won't play in JNT as long Hali is the manager.
