whoever wins our group is likely to play third placed team from group C (tldr new zealand and vietnam aka two weakest teams from group E drew so third place team from group e is unlikely to make the round of 16 and this gives A1 vs C3 matchup 80% possibility) second placed team from group A is also scheduled to play group C runner up so results from group C are very relevant to korea/england right now portugal will be tough but costa rica or iran should be a favoured matchup for korea at home
didnt think much of it when japan included the pubescent in their squad but they are using the kid as their key player. first guy on today while his team was trailing. cant help but feel sorry for the poor kid trying his hardest only to get pushed off by much older players. what was the coach thinking
That moment when you realize that we won 4-1 against the leader of group C and 2-0 against the leader of group D means nothing, but it feels good
He didn't look top-quality, to be sure. The keepers for the European and South American sides look very composed compared to the others. When making routine saves, they seem more confident, less anxious. Not necessarily better - but perhaps more seasoned, more used to it. So even if they suck, they won't panic. Indicator of the quality of their youth level competitions, I guess.
Man even though Ajax lost, I wouldn't mind seeing LSW playing for that team. So many young talents with good energy and skills.
Would be nice. It's a typical farm team that has to replace many players every year and at the same time they are top contenders for the league title, play great, attractive football and have a great chemistry within the team. Also, Ajax' football would fit Lee's. Younes, who plays as LW is even smaller than LSW, but he is better built. If Lee can bulk up a little, I see no reason why he shouldn't have success like Younes who was considered to lightweight for the Bundesliga (I think in the last 2 years he did a lot of work out). Anyway, congratz to Man Utd and also big kudos to Ajax who played with a 17 y/o (!) in the CB, symbolizing their youth in general.
One thing I like about this team is how bold the players were. They weren't afraid to make mistakes and did what was natural to them.
i can see lee seungwoo becoming equally predictable player if his team (whoever it may be) try to convert him into a dribbler type. he can play out on the wings, but its essential he plays for a club/a coach that can get him to play close to goal
i dont think ive seen him make a pass once with his left but he can finish with his left my favourite lee seungwoo goal
They will likely face Italy in the round of 16 (or Japan maybe). So one of the best team of the tournament will be out after this round.
I would not consider Italy (this Italy) as a one of the best team. We lost even one of our best player beacause of injury.
