People just want new names .. Takahagi, Wataru Endo ... lol. It doesn't matter if they're good.
On BS Japan, people would rather take a 4-0 loss with 15y old Takefusa Kubo on the pitch than a 4-0 win with a few 30+ years old players because it's the future.

Quite the contrary, I think we all agree that Hasebe is untouchable :). It's just a discussion on wether Yamaguchi should keep starting and who are the alternatives

It's actually granted. After AC2019 he'll probably quit international duty and we'll have to search for a new captain.

But we didn't play so much friendly games since they're all qualifying games.

There is a Syria friendly in June, where Vahid can take a second look at the likes of Ideguchi, Nagaki, Oshima, Shibasaki, et al.

Here is an interview piece with Gotoku which shines some light on the CM situation (no time to translate ATM). Basically everyone knows the midfield was just a stopgap to deal with the injury crisis, and forming an effective partnership will require more time working together.

If nothing will change this summer and at the EAFF the next autumn he sould try Honda with Hasebe especially if he will be not fielded as AMF regularly as in the past.
