D'Angelo seems to be on track to go to Rio

    June 7:
And coach John Herdman, impressed by her club play, is clearly in her corner.
"Sabs is one of the most positive people I've met," he said. "She has a great presence on and off the pitch."

Per the article's writer,Neil Davidson of The Canadian Press:
Herdman also has a history of being loyal to injured players who have his trust. He resisted the temptation to replace Diana Matheson with a healthy player in selecting his World Cup roster last summer and waited it out until the influential veteran had recovered midway through the tournament.

    June 1:
"So we're pretty confident it's not going to scupper her Olympics," Herdman said after training Wednesday at Varsity Stadium. "She's had such a good season with Western New York Flash. She's in great form. [It's a] bit of a setback but we think she's going to be good for the Olympics. That's all the feedback I'm hearing."

Amanda Cromwell needs to make another visit: Syd,Chelsea, and the blue shirt guy out and Katelyn, Taylor, and McCall in. Abby gets to dry her hair.

I do not know why my pics do not insert properly. Here is one of last year's UCLA 4 - maybe it will work:

The Annual Pink Game(8/27 last home game on the schedule) has a new partner, The Cancer Couch Foundation. Promotion of the game seems to be a lot earlier than the last couple of years.

The Flash hosted Dr. Rebecca Timlin-Scalera of The Cancer Couch Foundation and Susan Rahn of @Stickit2Stage4 and also visited Camp Good Days and Special Times this week.

I'm hoping with McCall back, the Pink Game will be as big a as it was before she left. A link to her cancer fundraiser:

I'm hoping that WNY will provide a place where Abbie Erceg, Sam Mewis, and particularly Alanna Kennedy will have fun playing soccer for the rest of the season.

WNY sent an email about the pink game with a subject to win a Carli Lloyd worn jersey.......
Except she won't be at the game to wear one of the auctioned pink game jerseys unless she sends a jersey as part of another auction.
I do like that Houston is taking part in it though. Need to bring a lot more cash this year.
And oddly I won a Lianne Sanderson item last year who wasn't even on the team but now is.

After the show in Columbus I never would have thought scoreless draw even with WNY liberally substituting.

Scoreless!? What happened between Thursday and Saturday for Thailand? Either that, or what happened between last league game and Saturday for WNY!?

    Two ideas:
1 - Thailand might have been playing with too much respect to the USWNT, but wouldn't know to do the same to an NWSL team
2 - WNY probably wasn't playing at 100%, especially after the injury to Sanderson, considering they still have to hold off SEA if they want to make the playoffs - they wouldn't want to wear themselves out or get more injuries. I mean, WNY took off their top scorers and their #1GK at halftime despite not having scored yet. That looks like conservatism to me.

Another factor was having 3 goals scored on u in the first five minutes. That's got to put u on ur heals.

So, I don't look at scoreline to determine ability and all that. Watching the US vs Thailand it was clear that US could've racked up 30 goals if they had cared to. That's how big the discrepancy was. Thailand didn't mark. They were slow. Just every facet was multiple steps behind.

My best guess is that it was a combination of A)Bad weather conditions B)WNY trying to play it safe after Sanderson injury C)Thailand did some serious film study after playing USWNT
