Yep, I've mentioned this before..the regression of Mexican Fut began when the young player requirement rule was dropped because "the issue of young players not being played was fixed"...
The future of Mexico will solely be in Pachuca's hands. The Chivas, Pumas, and Atlas canteranos are nowhere near as good as Pachuca's. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
Oh come on. Chucky was on a high after being a pivotal player in Pachuca's title and Gio... well he wasn't even impressing with the Galaxy. With that said, this should serve as some humble pie for Hirving. The guy was a major letdown... wouldn't surprise me if he stayed at Pachuca this coming year either.
You Lozano bashers realize chucking the ball his way and hoping he does something makes for terrible tactics, right?
The only Pachuca canterano that stepped up was Gutierrez. If anything, two of our most promising youth players came from Monterrey - Montes and Tecatito.
He did nothing in the first two games, and he had plenty of opportunities to do something. This third game, I see your point, though. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
Pizarro also stepped up. He just got injured via un puerco Fiji player. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
Against Germany? Really? You're losing whatever little credibility you gained recently, bud. He was subbed out against Fiji and the team played better. But not because of something he did or didn't do. The team's tactics were give him the ball and pray for something. Potro subs him out, and Ponchito is tasked with making the rest of the team play. An idiot could see this. C'mon, kid.
Those two opportunities he whiffed to score against Germany would have been crucial, altho granted, he wasn't the reason Mexico lost the lead twice. Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
How hard-headed can the people in the FMF be? Haven't they seen what happened to England by letting so many foreigners rule their league? There's a reason why we have History class in school, so we can learn from other's mistakes. The people running Mexican futbol are too proud/idiotic to see that. It's hard to admit but this is a pretty dark era in Mexican futbol, the B.S. is really starting to get exposed. We probably won't even notice it that much because we'll play against scrub teams during qualifiers, win those, and schedule friendly's against El Salvador, win those too, and then, we'll get pissed that we got eliminated at the next major competition, repeat.. It kinda sucks. The people in the FMF are too comfortable, and thinking about it, we really do have it pretty easy qualifying to international tournaments in having to compete with other CONCACAF nations. As long as the money keeps on raking in, I don't think they really give a shit about the future of our country in this sport. One of the few things I can see giving Mexico a "wake up call" is a concacaf-conmebol merge and having to constantly compete with SA teams to qualify for tournaments. It's sad to admit but the majority of Mexico really are conformists
Mexico se quedo como el perro de las 2 tortas. Tried to do 2 competitions and failed spectacularly in both. If they don't get their shit together, it will be a Brazil situation for Mexico (proportionally).
Potro is a terrible manager. Almaguer used the same tactic with the U20 team in the WC last year too.
tough luck to Mexico, I thought you guys were better but we pulled a goal out of nowhere. I think the difference overall in this tournament is motivation. Korea has to win a medal in order for our players to get military exemption. Our footballers/athletes have to serve in the military before 28 for most players waste their prime year doing so. I just can't imagine seeing guys like Son Heung Min playing in first/second division for 2.5/3 seasons during his prime. Also this issue is one of the big obstacle for out young players to move to Europe due to early expiry date. But it is what it is. Imagine if this other country has to face the same issue, the excuses will be immense. Oh god...
