Quickly done at lunch. Hope there are no errors. If there are, point them out and I will correct them later. Also, if anyone knows the channels for Fios please let me know and I'll add them to the post.
Truly does suck that in our seventh year in MLS we do not always get HD coverage for games or even any coverage in the case of the Wellness channel for some folks. We will not be taken seriously as a major sport until we eliminate half assed shit like this. I literally get better coverage of NASL and USL games on Youtube.
Are you talking about your expectations for the game or for your birthday gifts? I ask because I am the (proud) owner of a Philadelphia Union necktie.
FO gave me 2 free tickets and the group rate on 3 others to try entice me back to season tickets. $90 for 5 sideline tickets isn't too bad. Of course I think that essentially guarantees a loss, but I voted tie.
Because it actually exists and is in English? (I have Fios HD so no problems for me but my dear mother had Comcast lowdef and was blacked out of the Wellness channel game and I'm not sure if she get's this Fridays or if it's in English...)
the question was for fios. no one mentioned comcast. the OP didn't have the fios channel that is what we are talking about.
I doubt Fios sends out 2 signals on one channel. So maybe it switched to HD since last Friday when it was SD? It was stretched to fill the screen but was not HD. I'll be at the game so not an issue, but I do watch the Friday night matches so I'd be happy if it was in HD now. I also have to toggle the SAP every time I change the channel so that's annoying as well.
I don't ever watch the channel mostly because I never remember the channel although someone at the house watches it for a novela. As far as the image being stretched... my TV settings are what does the stretching. if it's not HD I'll get the black box all around as in the fox deportes above or I get the 4:3 image with bars on the side. Otherwise is a different levels of quality. Globo swtiched to HD about a month ago which is great since is $20 for just one channel but the image quality is still shitty as well because it looks like it's coming from a satellite or from a PAL conversion so is full of shadowing. I always have to toggle SAP when watching GOLTv. It goes to english first and then I have to switch it to spanish but then when I change to another channel I may end up getting a description of the image. watched half a simpsons episode like that once until I started questioning the purpose of the description. then I realized it was the stupid SAP.
