Caught a decent bit of the Lakers@Jazz game and I have to say, even though we lost and struggled badly on offence, I liked how we fought and clawed through it. Made Utah work for it. On another note, I picked Westbrook on my fantasy team, and HOLY CRAP! Westbrook unchained is simply a bulk stats monster. KD leaving has allowed Westbrook to just totally go nuts with the green light on every possession. From a fantasy perspective, I couldn't be more stoked to watch Westbrook wreck stats sheets all season regardless of whether it helps his team win or not.
Unfortunately with Embiids minutes limit think we will struggle without him and look decent with him. I am officially off the Okafor bandwagon
Only saw bits. It saric keeps shooting really short and flat for some reason Magic on Tuesday Gonna be another long season Could do with Simmons and Baylis back
I wonder if he can do a 80 point game.Dude took 44 shots last game vs Phoenix, its crazy. I think Anthony Davis is one killing it the most, tough for him he is surrounded with shit talent.
What do people think of Sixers tanking? Asking neutral fans here, and Sixers fans too. Is it wrong? I somewhat find it embarassing for fans, and in particular philly fans they have to watch such shit product for 3 years now ( 19, 18 , and 10 wins per year) going to 4th.
Lots of teams have done what the 76ers have done, just not to the extreme that the 76ers have done it. Heck, my Lakers were doing a pretty under-the-radar tank job last year with keeping Scott on as coach and letting Kobe just shoot the ball with tremendous freedom as opposed to allowing Russell and Clarkson to take full control of the team. I don't think what the 6ers have done with allowing their team to hit rock bottom to get younger and hopefully come out the other end with more upside was the wrong thing to do. But I do think this has to be the year where they get serious about winning. Need to cash in on some of these assets and make things happen. Get their roster in shape to win and be competitive. It's time IMO; they have talent, they have assets, and now they've got to stop being such an embarrassment to the league.
Wanna play some Pacey game Indiana? Aaight Drive home safe Chicago Beep beep We are going for the ring
Indiana are strong and this year Myles turner is a huge talent under the radar and young suits their offence Philly aren't tanking this year They have potential high picks if things go out way regardless of record We are without Simmons and Baylis ATM who will make a big difference Horrible vs the hawks but the tanking is over
Yeah they are so strong we were leading 28 pts by half time and let the second team finish the job in second half
Indiana dont look like that same defensive team without Vogel as head coach. They let him go, because of offensive woes..but now are worse defensively. Raptors losing Biyombo to the Magic will hurt them in a series vs Cavs, his rim protection was vital in getting 2 playoffs wins for Toronto vs Cavs last year.
I know bulls won but I like the composition of the pacers Bulls look good McDermott has proved me wrong
I hate to say it, but I told you so - Okafor should've been traded during this offseason, where they could've gotten some value for the player. Embiid is looking very good. Anthony Davis is looking more and more like Kevin Love with the Timberwolves - sure his numbers are out of this world, but they aren't reaching the playoffs. Just empty stat padding in my eyes. Kawhi looks like he's been unleashed and Westbrook is having stats like a player from My Career in NBA2k. Just crazy.
Placid will be fine they are looking into an offence with him and Embiid Not sure what is happening with Noel though He's supposed to be injured but been out n about Think we see the same old sides battling it out Maybe Atlanta can damage Cavs a little more than before? Still can't see any team in the east competing with the cavs
Intriguing thought that's been rolling in my head for a bit; what if the Warriors made a push to trade for Noel? Maybe something like Livingston+a 1st? Thoughts?
That makes no sense for Sixers. Warriors 1st is like a 2nd round pick, cause they will finish with a top record.
Teams that can damage the Cavs, are ones that have rim protection. Raptors won 2 games last year, because Biyombo was the main reason ( game 3 he had like 26 rebounds, 4 block shots). Hawks will be dependant how good Howard comes out.
I'm not sure man. You'd think if there were better offers on the table, Noel would already be packing. There's only a year left on Noel's contract and 6ers probably want to get something out of it. EDIT: Nevermind, turns out there's two years left on his contract.
I think Davis is better defensively then Love.Davis does average good block shots, and he has rim protection skills. Davis doesnt have much of facilitator abilities like a Lebron or Paul to elevate his teammates. And in this new era, top teams should have top players like that more so then big men.
