Which is doubly impressive on a night where the state's two major college football programs were playing, one in a home opener and the other in a rather ulcer-inducing comeback. In the recent past, Prodigal would be using those two events to excuse only 3,100 showing up to a Barons game.
@ Seattle: 2,268 @ RMSLC: 7,705 @ Wilmington: 2,617 @ Harrisburg: 1,202 @ Charleston: 3,978 @ St. Louis: 5,661 @ Oklahoma City: 6,847 @ Portland: 5,892 @ Vancouver: 1,186 This is the last one! Keep going!
Is there a place to view updated season averages? The past two OKC home games have been over 6,000. I'm curious what that did to our average, which was around 4000.
@kenntomasch is the one who usually tallies that, but he doesn't until after the season is done. I'm not aware of anybody else having actually kept running tabs of the entire league.
http://www.kenn.com/the_blog/?p=7383 That was the last time Kenn had USL numbers updated. After 10 games, OKC looked like this ... Total AVG MED HIGH LOW OKC Energy FC USL 10 43,750 4,375 4,337 6,797 3,133 Final 4 gates of 4337, 3872, 6089, 6847 put the total at 64,895 and average at 4635.
@ Montreal: 141 @ Pittsburgh: 2,499 @ Richmond: 3,923 @ Arizona: 2,877 @ Los Dos: 1,817 @ Seattle: 2,207
@ Wilmington: 3,243 @ Harrisburg: 2,388 @ Charleston: 4,543 @ Rochester: 4,672 @ St. Louis: 5,662 @ Colorado Springs: 3,823 @ Sacramento: 11,442
1758 @ Vancouver to finish off the season. WCFCII averages 1682 for the season, best out of the 3 Canadian MLS farm teams in Usl, not bad. FC Montreal averaging a pitifull 313 for the year and TFCII not much better at 445 per game.
i'm not sure what the deal is with all your emoji's but some of those number are actually good for those teams.
USL Attendance, Sacremento Republic's LOW this season 10,906, TFC II 50. Ya id say they have a market pic.twitter.com/KGlqjO9yFE— Brendan Murphy (@mrbrendanmurphy) September 22, 2015
The snore was never to suggest "bad" attendance. And in case you didn't notice, in the past couple weeks I've used them to signify final regular season games. @ Vancouver: 1,758 @ OC: 3,000 @ Rochester: 5,612
Sidetracked. @ Rochester: 5,561 @ OKC: 7,654 I just noticed this: the normal attendance for Sacramento (11,442) and the normal attendance for Portland (21,144) are anagrams.
Will the two OKC playoff games be factored into the yearly average? 6,370 & 7,654 should help increase the average.

The average without the twos last year was 3,307. This year, it was 4,154. OC Blues nearly doubled its average, and that was largely carried by some impressive late numbers. There might actually be some hope for them finally. Harrisburg had its best year ever by far. (Keep in mind, 2014 was their best year.) The only team that didn't go up was Pittsburgh, and they didn't go down much (less than 100 per). Overall, not a bad year at all. Oh, BTW... Keep in mind, you really lost Orlando after 2013 in terms of attendance. Having to suffer WWOS in 2014 did that.
Thanks for all the data. Great info. If the 2 OKC playoff games are averaged in, our total jumps to 4932, bumping us into the top 4. Looking forward to next year!
I wonder if USL final attendance will beat NPSL final attendance of 18k. What's Sahlen Stadium's capacity? 15k? So maybe not. Does Rochester care?
Slightly under 14k officially To some extent, but nowhere near as much it used to. Feeling betrayed after being fed the MLS dream by original owners who didn't have the financial means to pull it off, and the subsequent drop to D3, an awful lot of fans left and haven't returned since. This isn't the proper thread to go off on a tangent of that whole situation again, but below is a very good local article that covers portions of that subject for anyone interested: http://www.democratandchronicle.com.../roth-coo-ercoli-is-chief-of-optism/74012210/ Late season playoff matches have generally been a tough sell in Rochester, and the weather forecast for this one isn't good (temps in the 40's and a good chance of rain). I'd expect announced 'tickets distributed' to be considerably higher than actual attendance. FVI; In addtion to the USL Youtube channel, ESPN3 is also streaming the match.
