The SAP button cast has gotten much better. I think it has everything to do with the production values of the audio equipment. Today it sounds really good.
They were guilty of blowing smoke up Oscar Pariahs ass in preview of next weeks match. You know, reputation he's well-earned . So that counts as a big strike against them.
Check out Pareja and Porter post-whistle last night: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...rter-postgame-incident-fc-dallas-oscar-pareja
Yes and he reacted to having a tissue handed to him like that as you would expect. Sidenote, passion trumps zen.
At least Porter is a real goddamn man. Pareja is just a small spineless coward that masquerades as the soft spoken "nice guy". I'd take a guy like Porter who talks strait and doesn't take shit from anyone, over a wimpy shrinking violet that constantly says one thing and does another.
Hmmm ... spineless backstabber or unmitigated ass, you've set up an interesting question I wonder how they'd fare against each other in the Thunderdome
This + I would welcome Porter to the Rapids as an upgrade, and rather see Stan move the team to Ogden or Saint Louis than bring back O.P.* * Don't want the team to move but don't want anything more to do with Oppie either.
Given the superior players and resources Porter has in Portland, I am not so impressed with him anymore. Understand he is a "good guy" from my Father who is on University board at Akron, but he does seem to me to have an ego issue from what I have seen of him coaching in MLS.
Has anyone seen a switchbacks (Colorado Springs) game yet? Edit: if anyone is interested. http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/colorado-springs-switchbacks-2015-super-thread.1998341/page-4
You know, sometimes it's not the players you sign...but the players that you don't sign... http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...5/04/10/eddie-johnson-unlikely-to-play-again/ Yet another reason to be glad the we never ended up signing Eddie Johnson, even though we had a great opportunity to do it. He would have ended up being one of the all-time busts in club history.
Yep. I didn't like the signing when they were pushing it, I loved that Seattle swooped in to steal him from us, and I thought they overpaid. turned out he was exactly what Seattle needed at that point but it wouldn't have worked in Colorado.
Some Open Cup news: -There's a "Harpo's FC" out of Boulder? They are a USSSA entrant and are the first team from Boulder to qualify since the Boulder Rapids Reserve in 2004. They play the KC Athletics in a re-match of the last USSSA championship on April 25, 4PM: The game is at Prentup Field on the CU Boulder east campus--pretty nice field. (That's where the CU Women's team plays.) -Winner plays the BYU Cougars PDL team on May 13 in Utah. -Winner of that game plays the Switchbacks in the Springs on May 20, 7PM -I guess the Foxes didn't make it this year? -MLS teams play June 16 or June 17 according to that article. Pairings will be set on May 21.
Actually they announced tonight the turf at Prentup won't be ready in time. Waiting to hear where they're moving the game to.
Watching the Flounders and Gals play. Gals just scored off a double header in the box. I was thinking about the Rapids chances of playing with these teams, I am quite certain there would not be TWO headers in the box without a Rapid player intercepting. One of the joys of our tall back-line....
And Omar Gonzalez hit the first of those double headers...I assume that's what the Rapids kept hoping for when sending their corners back post to Sjoberg.
@JasonMa will LOVE this one http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mor...line-loses-by-a-foot/ar-AAaWMfN?ocid=hmlogout
I thought of jasonma too. I think in today's day of the internet, it will always be a part of their rivalry.
