so what no-name piece of sh1t will Frank sign now to fill Maloney's spot, and defend by nattering about having few options this late in the season even though it's his own damned fault?
So we, the fans had this all figured out before Andy even hired Yallop. Yet Andy still believes he can make good decisions on staff hiring.
I have been thinking about this excellent @JefeCrandall post and just for shits and giggles I wanted to compare the vital part of the total stats of this extensive Fire dp list against someone who say got paid "Keane Like Money". The Total Goals by my count for ALL these guys, including Blanco, is 41 and the Assists = 46. Robbie Keane MLS stats 2011-2015 =46 Goals and 40 Assists http://www.mlssoccer.com/players/robbie-keane Total minutes played of all the FIre designated players = 14,915 Total minutes played by Robbie Keane = 8662 Just for giggles dividing the number of minutes by 90 minutes = 165.7333 games versus 96.24 games for Keane to put up similar numbers. So the one guy managed to do it in a little over half the time as all the other guys put together. So while I don't have the salary information to compare the cost of all these Fire dps versus Keane's but it seems like maybe the Keane like money is worth it after all? Naturally he had a complimentary team around him and ownership that wanted to win but it's certainly interesting.
He's finally ready to play out of position: Yallop: Ty Harden could get a look at RB, just getting healthy again after tweaking hamstring recently. #cf97— Orrin Schwarz (@Orrin_Schwarz) August 31, 2015
"what no-name piece of sh1t will Frank sign now?" "Gilberto" "Who?" "Gilberto!" "Who?" "GILBERTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
http://www.transfermarkt.de/hsv-stu...ntakt-zu-seattle-und-orlando/view/news/211067 Olic says he has been talking to Seattle or Orlando. Not that I think we need him, but we should try to get him just for the shits and giggles of us failing again.
After two years of building I would like Frank Yallop to answer the question of who on his team does he expect to stand up and lead the team to victory.
In my opinion Accam and Gilberto are fine #2 and #3 DPs based on the last 2 games. We just need a true #1 so that they it is not all on them. But I don't think Hauptman spend the money or that Yallop will pick the right guy. It costs more than Maloney money to get a #1 DP.
You, sir, are not helping, with your correct statistics and stuff. However, I am going to be really unhelpful and point out that Keane's actual goal scoring with LAG is 89 goals in 138 games 68 goals are only for the regular season 9 goals in the playoffs (what is that? asks every Fire fan over the past few years), 3 in the US Open Cup, and 9 in CONCACAF (again, what is that, again?).
2 things.... 1. I have glasses but sometimes dont wear them. 2. The fact that I was somehow 22 goals or 40 some goals shy proves my point even better and that is apparently the money is worth it. Can someone find Keane's salary in those years versus the total salary of all Fire dps in the same time frame and compare them?
Total Guaranteed Compensation for Robbie Keane, per MLS Player's Union releases: $18,459,197.66 Total Guaranteed Compensation for all Chicago Fire Designated Players since Robbie Keane was signed by the LA Galaxy, per MLS PU releases: $5,115,062.51. Total off cap spend on Robbie Keane's salary by the LA Galaxy after taking into account the portion of his contract that hits the salary cap: $16,749,197.66. Total off cap spend on all Chicago Fire Designated Players since Robbie Keane was signed by the LA Galaxy after taking into account the portion of their contracts that hits the salary cap: $2,073,395.84. No transfer fees were included in my calculations. No use of allocation money was assumed. Take it at your own risk because I am tired. Check my math before dropping in casual conversation. Blah blah blah.
Embarrassing. The sales of Pappa and Baky got probably half that in allocation. Tack on the "you suck" allocation we've gotten for several years and we're over $2M. The league helps with transfer fees so we're looking and potentially ZERO out of pocket expenses for players by Hauptman.
LA spent an additional $26,306,464.37 in off cap DP Salaries in this time period. Since 2011 Fire are spending 5% of what AEG-LA is spending on DP players out of pocket. And that's probably best face the Fire could put on things because allocation money etc might mean that it's even less than that.
