subbed out injured. Looked somehow shocked, it was actually kinda scary to see. Didn't really understand what happened actually edit: looked like concussion. Hope everything's all right
Really ********ing off!!! This always happen to him! What's wrong with this boy? This is not an injury prone type of player, he's a cursed one! I think regardless of his skills he will never reach the JNT not even the bench or a training camp. In Zac times he was "our hope", the next big thing after Kagawa but his missed debut (we lost vs Icantremember) was prophetic of the incoming future bad luck. Hope he will get well soon...
I know. And he sucked too. I was talking about his missed debut after a lot of hyping about his young age and shit by japanese newspaper/tv program.
Ganz bittere Nachricht. Ryo #Miyaichi hat sich heute Vormittag im Training das vordere Kreuzband im rechten Knie gerissen. #fcsp #ynwa pic.twitter.com/l46FdccAXW— FC St. Pauli (@fcstpauli) June 28, 2017 going to be a long season and the last in st. Pauli
Don't know what to say. The last season was a very difficult one, he recover from the long-term injury but got little chance on the pitch. This season, new coach have just come in, Ryo just score in the pre-season game and he looked happy in the squad, eager to impress coach. I had hoped this may be his break-out season but to hear that he tears his cruciate ligament again is frustrating. Is there still time for him to do anything notable in his career? How far it has fall from the 18 years old wonder kid with bright future to a nobody spend most his career in rehab centre? It is very frustrating for a fan to follow a career like that, so I don't know what is is for himself to experience it first-hand. The situation in St.Pauli was already unfavourable for him, got other players compete in his position so his contract probably won't be extended. So the question is:"What's next?"
Hate to say it but maybe even retire early. Future health is more important and he's consistently doing his ACL.
Jynxed player. This will be remembered for ages and when some japanese player will suffer injuries continuously we will say "another Miyaichi" or similar stuff.
Pleased to announce that we have extended the contract of Ryo #Miyaichi by another year to 30 June 2019. pic.twitter.com/pULlVJwkn8— FC St. Pauli English (@fcstpauli_EN) August 9, 2017 The dream lives on.
You meant the nightmare keep going on. At least St.Pauli is kind with him counting he's payed but injury prone the majority of time.
He's a good and nice guy but our expectations for him were huge at least and actually totally wrong. The guy can't even hit the JNT and I'm still thinking about how his career would be if he stayed in Rotterdam as a starter in an average historical team of a pretty good league instead of wasting years in EPL.
Not really, he was very good in Bolton too. Injuries destroyed his career, "expectations" never really did anything for him.
Sorry but no. He was poor in Bolton, he played just 1 average match outrunning Chelsea defenders 1 time and that's all. EPL was the wrong place for him to growth as a player. Eredivesie should be his choice.
Yes, I'm sure a player named "Player of the month" played 1 average match. You can start here : And don't get me wrong, I agree that Eredivisie would've been a safer place
