Well specially with the start he had of the season I thought maybe he could reach 10 goals in EPL. But not gonna happend now. He has no goals this year.

Okazaki is an awesome striker, the problem is that he play as a secondary striker in Leicester. But there are rumours that he will play for another club next season, so he will be able to play as a main Striker.

Okazaki has another year left on his contract. He'll be 33 when his contract expires next year and I doubt there will be many suitors in the Premier League for someone of his age, perhaps as a role player but not as a starting striker.

Yeah I just saw the team sheets. Was looking forward to seeing Okazaki in the season opener. Disappointing as I don't think he is injured?

If this is a sign of what to come he should leave. He is not getting younger.

I think it is time he and his good friend Fuchs both leave together.

If I recall correctly Okazaki was benched/ out of the team in the first couple of matches in the past 3-4 seasons too.

Leicester always seems to go out and buy a new striker, only to revert back to Okazaki - Vardy in the end. A bit early to say, but that might be the case this season as well?

But as you say, he's not getting any younger. But would he be a guaranteed starter at another EPL or Bundesliga club? Not sure, especially since he would have to prove himself all over again with a new club/coach etc.

And anything below that would be pointless. Then I'd rather see him back in J.League.

Yes Okazaki ist injured, he was even injured at the WC and before and after he was too. Coach said he dont want to risk Okazaki like ManCity does it with De Bruyne. He said in 1-3 weeks he will be match fit. He need a little more train he said.

That's what the English commentator of today's match said: "He is given an extended break".

A goal would have been good. But we know Okazaki.

His team won 4-0 and advances to the next round, which is good.

At least it will support the assumption that whenever Okazaki plays Leicester tend to play better and get better results.

Poor guy. Says he's still suffering from ankle issues (from even prior to the WC) and doesn't expect it to heel until December.

Back to Japan for Okazaki perhaps? Doesn't look like he will get much of a run this season at Leicester.
