We conceded two very sloppy goals. If we win the playoffs and defend like that in the Championship we'll beat all of our records from 16/17. Shrewsbury have got to be the favourites and somewhat related their manager is one of our ex-players. I'm just enjoying the post-season football it's got to be more entertaining than watching Atletico beat Marseille.
78' Rotherham United 2 - 0 Scunthorpe United 2nd leg, aggregate score: (4 - 2) half-time: (1 - 0) Scunthorpe just had a man sent off...we are nearly home!
wait! There are two Millers' fan on here? So you guys play Shrewsbury Town next...? Good luck if so! Wait, you do on the 27th. UP THE MILLERS! I'd like to have you guys, Scunny, and Shrewsbury Town back/up in Championship.
Buy it Ivan you know you want to. The final kicks off 3pm on Sunday so early morning for you guys if it's even on US TV? I know you guys get awesome Premier League coverage but I'm not sure about Football League? You're guaranteed at least one of us or Shrewsbury to be in the Championship next season, we already sent Scunthorpe packing:
UP THE MILLERS! I'd hoped you guys would be back as well as "The Big Iron". Oh well. It should be on I'd think... right @pookspur ?
It's not on TV. It's on ESPN+ online that costs $4.95 a month. ESPN+ includes MLS games not on national TV, the USL, and daily episodes of ESPN FC. On Monday it had MLS Rewind, which I'm guessing is weekly on Mondays. It includes the League Championship, One, and Two Finals.
Richard Wood what a legend, their defender spent the whole of the first half holding him in a headlock at every set piece and they still couldn't stop him scoring, twice! I have to give Paul Warne credit, we had a poor spell at the end of last year but since then we've come on leaps and bounds. I just hope now we have some money to compete next year. I never expected us to recover from the damage Alan Stubbs did to the squad this soon. It's been a while since us and both Sheffield teams have all been in the same division, the last time has got to be the turn of the century? won't be able to go anywhere without being reminded of derby results next season.
The best part is he carried on doing it even after giving away the penalty and the referee just ignored it after that, I think that's why the first goal came about. Wood got fed up of being wrestled to the ground by him so they all took a run up from the outside of the box instead. They eventually started putting other players on him but none of them could handle him.
Paul Warne calls him the wrecking ball. 🙌 Scores the winner.⬆️ Promoted.⭐️ Man of the Match.😂 That hat! #RUFC pic.twitter.com/IBLfnPI7bS— Sky Bet (@SkyBet) May 27, 2018

An article on what promotion from League One to the Championship is worth. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...ague-one-promotion-championship-worth-1396662 League One = £1.4M Championship = £6.8M It's still peanuts compared to what clubs like Villa are able to spend mind, some of their players are probably earning more than our starting 11 combined.
… and going away. Villa are going to have to make huge cuts. And while they'll still admittedly have more to spend, they're facing some very real financial challenges, themselves.
Yeah I heard about that it sounds like they gambled everything on immediate promotion. The thing is though the rest of the Championship have now got Swansea, Stoke & West Brom coming down who are likely to do the same. One of the main problems we have is we tend to rely on the loan market but whenever a loanee has a successful spell a bigger club comes in for them and either takes them on loan or signs them. It's so frustrating.
