Poor Makino. H.Sakai in this pic seems a Captain Tsubasa stupid big villain with that face of him lol!
Line-up: Nishikawa - H.Sakai, Yoshida, Morishige, Nagatomo - Yamaguchi, Hasebe, Kagawa - Honda, Okazaki, Muto.
My nerves are exploding. What's wrong with this? Australia is 2-0 after 8 minutes, SK 2-0 after 12. Fudge.
They are still winning, so no reason to panic It will probably be 4-0 or 5-0 in the end, the Cambodian players just looks more and more tired. but Kagawa have decided not to score today=)
1-0 at half-time against Cambodia at home........with our strongest (or what coach though was strongest) available squad...
They are too complacent with no motivation or fighting spirit at all. That is why I hoped Vahid would call-up only the domestic-based players
lol guys, some of you really are trying too hard. Yes, if it ends 2-0 it will be disappointing but it's not a battle of who scores the most between us, korea and australia. We're not even playing against the same teams.
Don't be superficial! Its about our scoring efficiency, when we can't score at least half a dozen against Cambodia, how will we score against the likes of S.Korea, Australia and other big teams in Asia which have a stronger defences? Our team is making some random goalkeepers from South East Asia look like Oliver Kahn, and our players hesitate to dribble past players from Cambodia and Singapore!! To remember how we thrashed Jordan 6-0 at home during last WCQ, and how we struggle to score against Cambodia is such a disgusting thing.
The comparison doesn't stand, because those teams won't be relegated in their own half. If anything, this performanes might mean we still have problems against bunkering teams, but i'll reserve concern when we draw with someone like Singapore again. I'm not saying that we're exciting by any mean, I just having an hard time caring as long as we're up 3,4. edit: oh, the coach subbed Koroki in. Then 3 it is for today lool, this GK is actually pretty bad. Singapore's GK was good. Jordan did not defend with 11 men even though I agree with you that the play back then was way more fluid while now it's full of extra touches and not enough 1 vs 1. But, again: for example, Germany beat Gibraltar 'only' 4-0 in the home leg recently in their euro qualifiers, it doesn't mean that they don't know how to score anymore :/
