Well my heart would say Argentina but they are not a complete package yet and the politics and back stabbing and drama may kill their chances. Spain will still be good, but I think a bit old a bit "discovered" , Brasil of course is a fave at home, but I also see Germany with potential. One of those.:)

Well, we are a very large but narrow country more to the South of Brazil, but really I wouln't consider ourselves among the candidates for this one. Most likely is that if we pass the first phase, as usual, Brazil will eliminate us once more.

Anyhow, thanks for the good hopes,

    France 5
    Argentina 4 (1930-1978-1986-1990)
    Holland 4
    Sweden 4
    Spain 2
    England 2
    Hungary 2
    Czechoslovakia 2
    Poland 2
    Austria 2
    Portugal 2
    Yugoslavia 2
    Chile 1
    USA 1
    Croatia 1
    Turkey 1
    Belgium 1

I couldn't put Chile and a lot of other countries because you can only put 16.

Lol at 3 for USA, 2 for Mexico, and 0 for Spain.

From the looks of it so far, i believe Brazil, Germany, and Spain have the most realistic chances.

early days but would be a little surprised if its anyone other than one of brazil, argentina, germany, italy, holland, spain.

i'd like to think germany might be the world's best side by 2014 but saying that its probably still not enough to take out brazil in brazil.

I have a funny feeling we will see a new nation make a dent in this next World Cup, Providing if they qualify. But this nation has really improved there Game since they made there debut in 1998. even there U21, U19, and there Women teams are doing really well. and there league has improved immensly in the last 10 years. I honestly think they will not win in 2014, but will raise a few eyebrows. That Country.......... Japan.;)

You make it sound like a Stock market tip..."watch out for this up and comer"...Japan would need to go past the Round of 16...and do well in the Quarter to raise eyebrows.

and Honduras is an option because they are better than El Salvador.

Watch out for France in 2014. Also, Argentina (if they get their shit together has a good chance) Germany will go very far. So will Spain. Brazil should crash out (too much pressure at home for them)

My pick: France or Argentina....maybe Spain.

I voted for Netherlands. They're one of the best soccer teams that never won a World Cup.
I'm hoping Brazil or Argentina to win the 2014 World Cup, but Argentina currently has no extraordinary players and Brazil's Ronaldo is about to retire and Ronaldinho's last World Cup match will be in 2014, let's hope he plays in 2014.
