Why do Democrats in Massachusetts keep running Martha Coakley for office?

Christ as no ideas, no guts, no loyalty. He lost 3 races as a member of 3 parties (republican, indepedent and democrat). Rick Scott might be a POS but at least you know where he stands.

Bruce Rauner is my new governor. He is going to cut the state tax rate, reduce the deficit, and preserve necessary spending. Looks like candy, tastes like candy, but actually it's kale. Now that's awesome.

Is it true what Bill Maher said that Brownback got back into the race because his opponent got a lap dance 15 years ago, or where there other things?

I don't even know. The ONLY person I know who voted for Brownstain was my dad (I'm assuming, unless he had a stroke at the polling place and voted for the Libertarian guy). Even my vocally Republican mother said she was voting for Davis.

It was the suburban vote. Rauner ran much stronger there than Brady four years ago. A Republican that is moderate on social issues can win in Illinois. But in the past, social moderates could not win the Illinois Republican primary.

Rauner also tried to reach out to African American voters. From looking at the Chicago vote by ward, that did not work - unless winning between 2 - 4% is a success.

I would vote for a Republican who is moderate on social issues against a machine Democrat. But I didn't consider Rauner that. He is a billionaire buying an election, which is different than a guy with a record that I can support.

He is pro choice; favors a vote on gay marrige. For a Republican these days that's moderate. But I have dealt with enough private equity guys (and they are always guys) that I did not want one as governor, let alone as president.

I don't view him as a Republican. Or as a politician, for that matter. (Which Rauner would say as a compliment, but I would not.) So in a sense, I don't care about his positions. I don't take him seriously as a candidate. For me, he's a rich grandstander who will waltz in, not understand the system, not play the system, be ineffective, and leave.

    You and me together, brother.

Honestly there aren't a lot of really great candidates coming forward.

    Compassionate conservatism.

Tell people that they will cut taxes, increase services while decreasing deficits, how? by magically growing the economy. That shit sells.

Is like Dems, saying the same thing but their magic is taxing the man behind the tree.
