I think if scores are Ger 3 USA 0 and Por 2 Ghana 0, they would also draw lots.

Both USA and Por would have 4pts, -2GD, 4GS and 6GA

Portugal need to score three goals, if Germany wins 3-0 portugal needs to win 3-1

Wouldn't we also go through with a 3-0 win and a 2-0 Germany win? If we win 4-0 and Germany wins 1-0 we will have 4pts oGD but we will have 6 GF to their 4Gf so we would advance right? That chart isn't proper or I am missing something.

Either way I think we will need at least 5 as the US will prob get on the board. Unless the treaty of Recife states no team shall score.

A lot of controversy now surrounds Ghanaian football once you add the friendly match fixing with their FA

I STILL believe! England, Italy & Spain are all OUT. I feel better bout this. Even with a mediocre Portugal team, we're still fighting. USA are cocky. They believe they have a great team, how so?!

All I say is... We've got nothing to lose. Nothing. Just go in attack mode.

Italy got screwed so I can see Portugal getting screwed but I just don't see Germany tying. They want 1st place.

I found this group stage calculator where you can basically play through all the scenarios.

I'm sure there will be funny business but we got nothing to complain about at this point.

A draw would give Germany 1st place, due to their GD.

another big European side out today with Italy

I thought the red to Marchisio was harsh, and Suarez despicable bites Chilellini and then right after Godin scores a header on him

and Balotelli had to be subbed out

the Italians let the Uruguayans get under their skin

Marchisio's red is understandable. That type of tackle to the knee is very dangerous.

Its not likely but Portugal is still a team who could come out and destroy Ghana. I don't want to write us off just yet. As disgraceful as Ronaldo has been he still is capable of putting us on his back. He really only needs a little space to punish an opponent. Moutinho is still a player that can split a defense wide open with his passing. William is a natural ball winner and needs to start no question.

Throughout my years watching Portugal, its obvious we are schizophrenic. Two personalities battling for an identity. We are up against it and we've beaten much better teams. If we can channel the energy, determitaion and unity we showed against Sweden for example we have a chance. Germany is going to win comfortably I believe as winning the group is at stake. I don't forsee them letting the U.S. hang around and possibly win it late and take the group. Not to mention I think Löw would enjoy taking apart Klinsmann. I doubt there will be any pregame agreements here.

We CANNOT underestimate the US, they've shown they can beat better teams and outplay them, Klinsmann wants to show the world that he can do better than Low, and he wants to show USMNT fans that he was not the wrong decision for coach, and that he was right in almost every decision he made, including leaving Donovan out.
