doubt it. We are probaly already trying to negotiate a deal to terminate his contract. Have to wait til after the wc to talk to fernando santos. Best candidate available. Just hope that that jorge mendes doesnt sink his claws in him
Fernando Santos? For what to make the team play the same way it did under Queiroz? In 23 years as a club coach he has won 1 league title and 5 total cups. 12 of those years he was coaching for league contenders not minnows. That is a joke. If not for an easy qualifying group and an even easier WC Group plus a ridiculous last second penalty Greece would be home. They had no business qualifying to begin with No thanks.
Where again he won't win anything. Then again goat boy wants "winners" like Andre Almeida on the NT. Talk about someone who didn't bother watching one World Cup game.
Porto Portuguese Liga (1): 1998–99 Portuguese Cup (2): 1999–00, 2000–01 Portuguese SuperCup (2): 1999, 2000 AEK Athens Greek Cup (1): 2002 Individual[edit] Super League Greece Manager of the Year (4): 2001–02, 2004–05, 2008–09, 2009–10 Super League Greece Manager of the Decade (1): 2000–10 maybe we should hire braga legend jesualdo fereira....braga are known for making winners
So a post that proves my post right: 1 League Championship and 4 Cups won in 23 years. while coaching league contending teams for 12 Years Jesualdo Ferreira 3 League titles 2 cups won in a career of 30 years where in only 6 years he coached a league contender. Boy you make me look like a genius at the same time walk into making yourself look stupid. Bet that model of yours loves you for your brains and not your millions LMAO For the record Braga made Eduardo is now and always will be the best Goalie to wear a Portugal Jersey. But no Jesualdo is not the man for the job either way too pragmatic.
By that statement then Porto was the only league contender in Portugal therefore Jesualdo won 3 titles in the 3.5 years he coached Porto. Great point makes me look smarter.
For the 2006 WC, they not only placed Germany in group A as hosts, they placed Brazil in group F before the draw. They said it was done to have Brazil play in certain stadiums and/or cities. The more likely reason was that if they both won their groups, they could only meet in the final. And remember, leading up to that WC, Brazil was favoured to win. Their attack was Ronaldinho (2004, 2005 WPOTY), Kaka (2007 WPOTY), Robinho, Adriano and Ronaldo (2002 WPOTY). And they often had to leave Robinho out or nobody would win the ball back. Sure, Ronaldo showed up fat and Roberto Carlos doesn't know when he should pull up his socks, but still, going in they were feared.
Wasn't that the last tournament where previous champions were given a place and didn't go thru qualification?
well everyone knows FIFA blows Brazil and Germany if every WC final could be Brazil v Germany, FIFA would be content.
