Who do you refer to with "they"? Hübner, Bobic and Hütter are all already officially confirmed to leave regardless of the team's end result of this season. For the former two this even has been known for some time already, just for manager Hütter this has been a surprise (and even in his case actually not so much if one looks at his previous positions at other clubs, all which he left at the high point).
Kamada assisted the 1:0 in Frankfurts 2:0 win over Augsburg with a nice cross. Kamada now stands by 5 goals and 14 assists.
From being a strong contender of playing in the UCL next season to being content playing in the Euro league. What just happened? Funny how football works.
With everything changing and everybody leaving the fizz is apparently gone. Considering the real possibility kind of a sad end of an era (Hübner, Bobic) but the Eintracht fans will celebrate the team in Europe League as well (if they are allowed into the stadium again).
yeah, their form flipped right about when the news broke about everybody leaving. Probably not a coincidence.
They should have never announce the departures until the end of the campaign. I think it affected the team's focus negatively. Usually, teams challenging for titles or European places, or fighting against relegation withhold such news until the end of the season.
Daichi Kamada is linked to a move to AC Milan as a replacement for the departed Hakan Çalhanoğlu. This will be part of a swap + money deal, in which Kamada is heading to AC Milan and Jens Petter Hauge is heading to Eintracht Frankfurt https://www.goal.com/jp/amp/ニュース/daichi-kamada-frankfurt-transfer-20210706/yvd96clhmcme1q5ezozs1vmv6
I don't know about this but I have flashback of Honda's time at Milan, disappointing to say the least and I don't see Milan supporters would warm up to another Japanese in their team. He better join a Serie A team like Atalanta instead or stay put at Frankfurt.
AC Milan supporters in those years still thought to be a some sort of "top club". Years has passed, Mr.Berlusconi left and Milan kept missing UCL till this last blessed year. Kamada is nothing "weirder" than a lot of weaklings in that club. It is a totally different story than Honda.
Great Game yesterday from Frankfurt. Hasebe and Kamada both played 90th minutes and won 3-1 against Olympiakos in the European League. Kamada scored the 3-1 and was involved in almost evey attack. Won also 55% duells. Hasebe was the fix point of the defense, very clever and super solid and also captain.
He created the chance from which Eintracht Frankfurt won the PK and scored their opening goal. Great to see him showing signs of getting back to form after a very disappointing start of the season, which is great news to the Japan national team as well.

Hasebe will possibly pursue a manager career after retirement: https://www.fussballtransfers.com/a2151723473088962469-frankfurts-plan-mit-hasebe That would make him the first japanese manager that had a solid experience playing overseas. Anyway, I hope Hasebe follows the same pattern of typical japanese managers: Before becoming a head coach, work first as an assistant coach to various managers, this way it's possible to learn more with different viewpoints, and if after becoming a head coach he experiences a series of failures, then become an assistant coach once again to learn new things. I like this japanese culture of humility, this doesn't happen for instance in Brazil, here if a manager has many failures, he still insists in leading new teams as head coach, instead of having the humility to become an assistant coach in order to learn new things.
Official: Makoto Hasebe signed a 5-years contract extension with Eintracht Frankfurt up to June 2027. Hasebe will retire at the end of 2022/2023 season, and will spend the remaining 4 years as a part of the club's coaching staff. https://en.eintracht.de/news/vertrag-bis-2027-makoto-hasebe-verlaengert-langfristig-139376
Here's hoping that Hasebe san becomes a good coach that will take the reigns of JNT with a new mindset in the near future.
