Still burnt from Payet? Or it's a tactical issue?

We already have Feghouli, Snodgrass, Tore, and Antonio. Haraguchi isn't better than them, so no need for us to sign him.

Seems like the transfer deal is as good as done. Final negotiations are going on to sort out the transfer fee. Hertha wants €5M, but Brighton is only willing to pay €3M. One thing sure is that Hertha will sell him. Unless they want to lose him free next year while paying him a full year's salary.

Yesterdays press stated Haraguchi (along other internationals) will join training this Thursday. A month ago it was officially stated that Haraguchi's contract won't be extended, so he'll definitely leave. I guess they are still bargaining over the fee.

Personally, I don't think his style of play suits the premier league. He's a more technical player for which he suits the bundesliga for example and physically, I don't think he'd suit the league. I could be wrong though, I wish him the best

I'm starting to doubt he will go. Playing with HB these days.

Manager Preetz was quoted two days ago that anything can happen but that transfer negotiations are currently suspended indeed.

I have a couple of friends who are also West Ham-fans, and it seems you all have in common that you overrate your own players badly. For example, Cresswell is <supposedly> the best fullback in Premier League, and Adrian a top 3 GK etc...

Snodgrass and Antonio might be slightly better, but Feghouli and Tore?

Keep in mind that Haraguchi plays for what is in most ways a BETTER club than West Ham. And plays as a regular. A team that finishes on the upper half of the table that many years in a row in Bundesliga is better than any midtable PL-club (despite them being good 2 seasons ago) imho. And looking at how pathetic English clubs have been overall in Europe the last couple of seasons underlines that. The only point at which West Ham beats them is in terms of money, which is only due to the new TV-deal.

So far he only plays as a sub. 10 min in one DFB cup match, 46 min in two Buli matches, now subbed in after 85 min in the EL home match against Athletic Bilbao.
