It seems to suggest that the coach wants to loan him out "to get minutes" it's a nice way to say that he doesn't want him.
"Sporting may loan out Tanaka". They claim our coach likes his abilities but he wants Tanaka to get regular playing time to gain more experience. Newspapers have been sending news like these for a while now. According to them, almost every player we have will be sold/loaned out. With all this confusion with Jorge Jesus, I think they don't really know what's going on and they're just trying to cover ground as much as possible.
Things are looking tough for Tanaka. Teo Gutiérrez, Falcao's partner in Colombia, is apparently very close to sign with Sporting, along with the greek striker Mitroglou.
Looks like he's been openly being disrespected by the coach, being the only player not being used in Cape Town and with his number being given to a newcomer without any communication. Really hope his agent or whatever is handling a (permanent) exit from Sporting. Only thing that makes me salty would be the club profiting, but oh well
Two mini news: 1) http://desporto.sapo.pt/futebol/primeira_liga/artigo/2015/07/31/konyaspor-negoceia-labyad-e-tanaka Konyaspor (Turkey) is reportedly interested in Tanaka, but they offered just one million for him and for another player and Sporting is not okay with that. 2) http://desporto365.com/tanaka-tem-mercado-na-europa/ Jhony Baez, Tanaka's agent, meanwhile, makes it clear that Tanaka won't move to MLS or back to Japan, or any "second-line" football market and insisted that he has market in Europe given his good season. Here's hoping there's already something concrete
He's been given a shirt number unlike other players that are expected to be sold soon. Tanaka #8 http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/liga/...ka-ja-capel-rosell-e-iuri-medeiros-estao-fora
He's still part of the squad. I think he'll stay if we don't sign another striker. Still, it'll be tough for him, Slimani and Montero are starting the season in great form and Teo has higher reputation (even though I don't think Tanaka is worse than him). I would be happy if he stays, and I think he could do well on our new system (4-4-2).
I guess "tough" is indeed a nice way to put it then the coach purposedly hasn't let him play a single minute in the latest friendlies =/ Sucks because I also do think he could've done well in 4-4-2. Could've\should've been third choice.
http://desporto.sapo.pt/futebol/primeira_liga/artigo/2015/08/04/tanaka-recusa-mudanca-para-a-turquia Tanaka rejects Konyaspor
Tanaka now rejects an offer from Al-Ittihad, emphasising his wish to remain in Europe. http://desporto.sapo.pt/futebol/pri...ting-recusa-proposta-do-al-ittihad-por-tanaka
No, the article says that the club refused. However, it also says that, as the agent said, he wants to play in Europe anyway. I just hope he won't end stuck in Sporting, time is running out.
3 goals from CSKA after being up 1-0 and goodbye champions league. What a start for Jorge Jesus! Karma, baby.
