Great sequence from Inui to open the 2nd half. Good build up play and pass to initiate the counterattack, excellent run and volley.

    Yoshida's goal!

It seems Endo involved in all goals.

    eeh now
This is quite an improvement compared to the very much average Jamaica game, which was a comparable team - even considering Honduras is likely better. The team is working better overall.

not too surprising though since Endo and Kagawa are better than Shibasaki and Hosogai

lool goal from Toyoda. 1 more to reach Jordan :D

I have to say that, while I was unsure about whether it was better to put Honda or Kagawa as forwards, the current solution is the more reasonable. Not sure what's wrong with Shinji but it's absolutely clear (and probably Milan has an impact in this) that Honda can see the goal much more than him (right now).
I'd move him to the midfield only along with Kagawa and even then, that would mean that it's because there's a very high quality winger that can score and deserves this to make it happen

    Double Inui!

Anyway, offensive movements are improved a lot. Work begins to shine.
Toyoda has to be on the plane for Australia.
And Honduras-B is not ready for this kind of opponents.

    Inui makes it Jordan record!
Feel a bit sorry for Honduras though. As much as I give credit to our players, looks like they've collapsed. Putting on fresh player from Aguirre was fundamental to not keep the game stagnating.

Would've been a nice headline...former high school teammates/fellow auto makers connecting for a goal.

Nishikawa on for 10 minutes. I want to see him take a free kick haha.

How Muto played? I'm surprised he didn't scored today and were 6 goals. HG?

Well, just 3 when he played.

Muto was fine, I think he might start again against Australia, but Inui might have called up Aguirre's attention with the brace. There's also the possibility that he wants to try Kagawa there

Just finished watching the first half, good lord. Haven't seen a team as weak as Honduras in years. Good job by the JFA, if they don't get their confidence back after that, they will never do.
