Some dates to mark on the calendar

    Code:
    03/17 - Chivas
    04/27 @ RSL
    05/05 @ Houston
    05/19 @ New York
    05/26 - Seattle
    06/08 @ RSL
    06/23 @ Chivas
    06/29 @ San Jose
    08/17 - RSL
    08/31 - San Jose
    09/21 - Seattle
    10/06 - Chivas
    10/20 - San Jose
    10/27 @ Seattle

Seems like they essentially flipped the imbalance this year. San Jose & Seattle at home twice, RSL away twice.

Seems to be a little more balanced compared to last year but I only skimmed it. We don't end on murder's row like last year but we still end up with 2 good teams. We need to add our additional CCL games and possible USOC and see where it really stacks up.

    10 games v. the East (5 home, 5 away)
    24 games v. the West (12 home, 12 away)
Only one truly brutal road stretch - Vancouver to Philly to NY over 2 weeks in May.

Glad the team comes and visits Dallas twice this year, two more chances to see them!

And the 1st time is in April so potentially some real nice weather and not 105 degree game time temps.

It looks like if we make it to the semis in the CCL, the games will be sandwiched around a game vs. Montreal at home (Apr 2-4 and Apr 9-11). With games against Toronto and Dallas on either side. That's about as good as you could ask for.

If they made the final, it would also be sandwiched around a home game, but this one vs RSL. CCL final is Apr 24 and May 1. With games against Sporting KC and Houston on either end. That could be a gauntlet - but a gauntlet I hope we have the opportunity to face.

Hope the league actually planned it that way. That would be smart. Anyone eyeballed Houston or Seattle's schedule to see if they got the same benefit (or it could just be us, cause you know, the league loves us. ;) )

If we make it to the final I would hope Garber would move stuff around for us just like the league did for RSL. And if we are in the final I could give a flying fidoodle about our league games. I'd honestly take two losses in league play (play the young-ins for experience!) to see if we could make the Club World Cup. After last year I have faith we'd make those losses up any way, and frankly, I'd take winning CCL over the Supporter's Shield.

agree, i think CCL should be our priority this year. supporters to me is meaningless with the silly unbalanced schedule anyway and it really doesnt bring much glory in this league (it should tho)

Yeah, if LA does make it to the final, I doubt we'll see all the "Let's root for MLS" love that RSL received....and I'm fine with that.

im starting to love it. we are the man united of mls and that just means, as much as no one will ever admit, that they all wish they were us.

Other teams that are constantly hated on:
    Man United
    AC Milan
    Real Madrid
    Bayern Munich

yea, i'm ok being in that company

I am glad the schedule came out when it did. I had to schedule my tax appointment around the home games in March.

We open against the Revs on March the third at home. And a 2pm start time. Which means Brunch at Alpine Village and then the game.
