Yoshou You're right! - they don't pick the name of the color, but they do pick the color... and know the name of it when they pick it. So they have to be ok with it right???
I thought I saw something during the launch week that called it Soooo-Per Saw-Yan. Which made me think WTH??

The bottom one makes me think the girl who designed it is a UCLA student or grad.

Maybe we're thinking about this all wrong. Maybe the SuperSounders don't pick bad colors who have goofy names, maybe they pick goofy names, and then end up stuck with the bad colors

Really? Anytime they release a new jersey I can't help but wonder in which new color I will now glow in the dark

as we all know, it's very important to pronounce these kits properly. :D

as for the galaxy designs, if they wanted to be retro they should have brought back the original as it was. but i guess the guy that designed it couldn't plagiarize, so he had to come up with a different version. we all see that it suggests early-mls, but it doesn't do that sufficiently and ends up having to stand on its own. at which point the proper reaction is to say how ugly it looks. not that the other one is any better.

There was a limited template and a limited color palette to chose from, it wasn't a free form design your own uniform contest, it was more like pick the Adidas template, and then paint by numbers.

In my opinion, I think the LA black with retro color jersey looks pretty slick..but still shit since it's LA

Still waiting for Red Bull to have a 3rd kit based on the Red Bull can ( shirt split into quarters: blue and silver)

either that or a throwback to the red and black stripes of the Metro years.

I haven't seen or heard a thing about the Dynamo kit. I Liked the color of the Houston 2012 third kit, but not the general design.

Here's an oldy but a goody of me wearing all "home jerseys" from the LA G's (except the new one which I own).

Bottom line, the black 3rd jersey choice from LA is better for OG's . jerseys.jpg

Wait, they still have an MLS team? They didn't move it to like Akron or Gary, IN yet?

I've been a fan of this idea for a long time. The funny thing that it would totally work as a soccer kit. Frankly, I'm surprised it's not their primary look.

the throwback black Galaxy jersey would be a great idea, my only suggestion would be to change the color of the crest like they did for their current black third kit, personally I dont think that the blue/gold crest looks right on there but otherwise it would be a sweet jersey to see used

Looking at these all together, I think a 3rd kit for the Galaxy based on the middle 'yellow jersey + green sash' would be awesome if they made it a yellow kit + dark blue sash, similar to the current home jersey (but subbing Galaxy rich yellow for the white).

One note about the unveiling of the Rapids new home kit. Assuming the standard 2-year jersey cycle holds the Rapids will have been burgundy for 8 years at the end of this jersey, longer than either of their past two color schemes (green/white 7 years, black/blue 4 years).

So what you're saying is they're overdue for a color scheme change? ;)
(Seriously, though, I wouldn't expect them to switch away from KSE burgundy/white/blue any time soon.)
