Where are the Mexican internationals? Are they in?
It must suck for coaches to have to wait for everyone to get in.

Well it is part of the deal when Federations put up the cash (salaries) then teams are at the mercy of the Federations.

It doesn't look like they made the trip. May not be in yet?

Maybe that is the extent of the contract obligation; play the season and pre-season is up to the player.

I wonder if there's some issue with the Mexican Federation. Neither of the Thorns' allocated players will be with the team. The Federation apparently dropped one saying she wasn't ready for this level of play and the other won't be playing for some physical reason.

If it was up to me, I'd have the Costa Rican girls in the league. I'm always impressed by the Mexican NT.

Looks like on Wednesday April 3rd in South Bend, IN there will be a doubleheader with Haiti playing Mexico at 4:30 pm followed up by Red Stars vs. Notre Dame at 7:00.

This will be a good test for the Red Stars going against ND. Maribel Dominguez may meet her new CRS teammates for the first time and Lauren Fowlkes plays again at her college school field.
Too bad Shannon Boxx won't be there.

Because I didn't see a separate thread for the preseason games in Austin, I'll drop in here.

Took a day trip down to Austin for the game on Saturday. CRS looked good. Masar and Chalupny will be a dynamic duo up top. They're already starting to connect on runs and passes without looking to one another. Osborne is like a coach on the field with a lot of the younger players but it's a good thing as they're listening.

Sorry I can't go into detail on more as there were no names on the back of kits and I was focusing on taking pics. Speaking of, for your viewing pleasure: http://www.flickr.com/photos/70248537@N03/

If you repost pics elsewhere, just give credit for to me under Flickr account account name.

Those new kits look really good. Might have to pick me up one when they go on sale.

Wait, is that why Chalupny's been scoring so much? They're using her as an actual forward instead of a midfielder? That's different. And kinda fun. It's obviously working for them. =-)

    Agree on the kits!

Should clarify, Lori is positioned as the attacking midfielder. She's trailing behind Ella a lot. That being said, there were several times they were making runs parallel to one another. It all depending on how the play built up. Either way, they'll be an attacking force defenses of other teams will need to look out for.

DeigoRedD, thanks for the insight and pictures. Well done.

I like these uniforms. If they have a male version with XL, I would def. buy one and the shorts as well.

Here you go, straight from the CRS Twitter account!

I'm assuming they had visa issues.

Baby + Knee Inj + 30 yrs old = No surprise.

As they say in Brasil, Simone Jatoba was on the wrong side of 30 for the Olympic roster.

Santacaterina and Wenino is my guess. And when Jen Hoy returns from school I'd expect to see Hanna Gilmore cut.
