Konno made a professional foul after the whole backline was caught off guard, better an harmless yellow card than a goal.

Yes, no van Persie, no Sneijder, no Huntelaar, Strootman playing the game at walking pace... and defense.. well... not sure we have a strong defensive option but this was ... ugly in the second half.
it doesn't really matter how Strootman played the game, you wouldn't have cared how Uchida had played had you won the match.
Konno is 178cm not 188 cm, I just feel that he keeps going forward and didn't stay back with Yoshida to help out the defence. He does not play like a CB, more like a DMC. Still feel that Zaccheroni should try out Morishige or even other guys like Yamashita along with Yoshida or even Morishige and Yamashita together.
It's an official document my friend. I trust the JFA. He's 188cm. Besides, the Netherlands didn't really have any chance outside their two goals and they're not Yoshida's or Konno's fault so this would really be changing just for the sake of changing. The best players are playing.
I highly doubt he is 188 cm, he is 178cm if I am not wrong and he plays more like a DMC than a CB, it would not hurt to try other CBs like Tatsuya Yamashita or Morishige to see if they fit in.
