I myself was very doubtful about Endo's change but it was the right thing in the end. Yamaguchi was already doing some tireless work in the midfield, it was a ballsy offensive sub. Glad we were able to watch such a good second half :)

Has the Dutch team developed anything new since the 2010WC? I haven't seen much except Euro 2012...

Probably van Gaal wanted to test something. It went totally wrong I assume.

Who was in the central midfield for Netherlands? They were getting overrun completely. But yeah, this wasn't the Netherlands team I remember watching.

I'm not sure... the game plan basically is always the same no matter who we play.

But Siem de Jong is no van Persie and couldn't get to the ball most of the time, let alone hold it and pass. Defense was really weak with far too many passes backwards or wide, no tackling, and no movement in midfield. Strootman was strolling along halfway through the second. Nigel de Jong's steel missing after the break.

Well, De Jong, Strootman are hardly amateurs.
I guess Depay and De Guzman didn't do what their coach was expecting though... also I reckon Van Persie seems to be one step above their other forwards (at least I guess so?)

Ask again for that Robben fault on Nagatomo gif please!
Better for you supporters if they wake up soon or with this shitty playstyle the trip to Brazil will be very short for Netherlands.

Some nobodies called Nigel de Jong, Kevin Strootman, and Rafael van der Vaart. To be fair de Jong was great before being taken off, and Strootman tired real quickly.

Great game: basically, we outplayed Netherlands for all the second half. And it reminded me of the second half against Italy in CC.
Plus, Osako and Yamaguchi booked their tickets for Brazil with today. Yamaguchi + Endo was very good, even if Hasebe finally played in a good way today.

About Kakitani's miss: it happens. He'll score against Belgium.

I was more talking about the second half. I didn't recognise De Guzman and never heard of Depay. They were both terrible.

Eh, no decent striker for Holland available. That's a big reason why Konno and Yoshida had a good game...

de Guzman is like...a decent player for Swansea. Yawn. Depay is like 19.

This team is a hard nut to crack , one week they play great against the top teams in the world and the next the week they lose against Luxembourg.

Holland were featherweights but Konno still managed to almost get himself sent off..
Entertaining and fun match though. Kakitani needs to step up. Hope he has better luck in South America than in Europe. If he gets there.
