RSL plays in CCL action tonight at home versus Tauro FC, so they'll be on slightly shorter rest, and add in the cross-country travel, and I only see them beating us 2-1 or 3-1.

Same starting lineup - except Gaddis for Williams - as Sunday's game versus DCU?

I think we get blown out at home. 3-0 or 4-0 RSL.

RSL has been in terrible form lately. They've lost their last 3 league matches, and have lost 4 in a row between the league and CCL. They will be putting all their eggs in tonight's basket against Tauro because they need a win, or they face a very uphill climb to make it out of their group. I think that provides us with a chance to come out and surprise RSL a bit. Another fun fact: RSL has never won at PPL Park. They've drawn both of their matches 1-1. One more tidbit: RSL versus the Eastern Conference in road matches is 0-2-0 this year, losing to Sharting Kansas City and Columbus.

I'm calling it right now: Union win 2-1 with more late heroics. They'll score first, then give up another set piece goal before stealing 3 points at the end. It's what we do.

    That's OK.

We don't care about the result. We just came to get loaded.

There are still two games where I care about the result.
9/20 vs DC and the final match 10/27 vs NY.
I'm still hoping we can do well in our other games, but I would gladly accept a loss in every other remaining game if we can win both of those 'non-rivalry' games.

I've been singing that all season in 116 when we're about to lose. Just those two phrases over and over again.

Well, winning and losing matters, but not as much as having a good time with the people you care about. That trumps winning and losing for me. I care about the result to an extent, so long as I enjoy my time at the game.

I would actually like to see Gomez start over Lahoud. Lahoud will get a red sooner or later and as much fun as it may be, I would rather not have the Union playing with fire. With Cruz out there we will still have someone to have the reckless challenges, he just doesn't connect with his. I really hope they get a decent striker with some height in the offseason as McInerney is the tallest of those three at 5'9!

Unfortunately, I have to agree with a 3-0 loss prediction.

2-0 RSL with 1 red card for us and 4 yellows in the 2nd half and chants of "beat the traffic!"

Let's see, a Friday night in the summer ...

To the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell"

I should be at the shore
    Can't take this any more
The Union's getting their asses kicked
I should be at the shore

    Y'all crack me up.
RSL has a tendency, this season, to help get teams out of funks or lift their supporters moods.

I think you'll cruise to a comfortable win in this one. We'll be exhausted no matter the result tonight
