It's Wednesday, game is Saturday. I usually like to have these up earlier than this. Don't blame me when we lose tonight.
I'm hoping the Union come into this with a chip on their shoulder after last night's loss. With the congested schedule I wouldn't be surprised to see a much different (as different as personnel allows) line up from the last two matches.
Watched his pregame laps. His size was definitely needed last night. I'm hoping he is fit and ready to start his Union career, as well.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Le'Impact utilize some of the same tactics that SKC used last night (minus the theatrics and antics). This will probably be a physical game, with Montreal sitting back some. I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing our guys come out with a win. I'd imagine we'll see one or two different faces in the lineup, as we really looked spent physically and emotionally at the end last night.
Throw this out and see what sticks. Give Adu the night off after his subpar showing last night; streaky indeed. Put either Perlaza or Martinez up top with Pajoy and J-Mac. Give Gomez the start over Lahoud. Allow Okugo to rest a bit just in case he's needed against RBNY the following weekend, and start to give Soumare some quality minutes in the game.

Brian Carroll is easily one of the best players we have on this team, but I really think he needs a rest. The fixture congestion and his age clearly didn't help last night. It was the first time I've seen him with tired legs, and it resulted in weak passes and some terrible touches (which are very rare for him). If Soumare is ready, I think Montreal is a team we could start Gomez & Okugo instead of Gomez & Carroll. Let BC7 have a chance to rest up.
We need to put some subs out there. McInerney looked cooked out there last night. Carrol looks tired. Pajoy probably needs to sit regardless. Adu could use a rest, Williams too. Wouldn't mind seeing Gaddis, Torres, Martinez and Keon Daniel get a start. I enjoy the consistency that Hack has brought to the line-up, but a stretch like this requires that our starters get some rest.
They guys looked pretty darn gassed (not to mention extremely frustrated) last night (I lost a lot of respect for KC ) and I think maybe some could use a little rest. A poor effort by Adu, lets get Torres a start. Hopefully Soumare is ready, if not slide Okugo back and then Keon could slide into the MF. Jack looked pretty darn tired too, so maybe him and Hoppenot switch roles for this game?
Carroll spent ninety minutes last night following Zusi around like a puppy. No wonder he looked tired. That's what the Villa game is for. None of the 13 that played last night (except maybe Hoppenot) should go anywhere near the field next Wednesday. Put the best team possible out there on Saturday. We need every win and this game is winnable.
Have Antoine start over J-Mac? Doubt it'll happen. Hoppenot has even said he doesn't have the fitness level to play like that for more than 30 minutes at a stretch. Plus, I think he rivals Pajoy with that whole poor-first-touch syndrome.
The best team doesn't always mean the best names., however. A tired starter may not have the edge over a bench player with fresh legs. Hopefully Hack will really do an in-depth evaluation on some of these guys over the next 2 days and make a good decision. We've got some depth in areas.
It was pretty clear that fatigue was a problem last night. Lot of guys should get some rest this weekend. Gaddis for Williams, Soumare (if he's available) for Okugo, and Torres for Adu are all obvious spot substitutions. Maybe switch to a 4-4-2 and run out a more crowded midfield for this game.
Maybe a Starting 11 like this? With Konopka, Gaddis, Torres, Carroll, McInerney, Hoeppenot, Lahoud on the bench. Torres still needs time to get match fit (Villa Game he'll get a lot of minutes). Jack Mac and Adu need a rest as they've logged a lot of minutes lately. Ditto Carroll. Unfortunately since Soumare is not yet ready, there's no breather for our back 4.
