    Semifinal possibilities announced.

Harrisburg only hosts if they beat Philadelphia and Dayton beats Kansas City.
    Philadelphia hosts if they win.
Kansas City hosts if they win and Harrisburg wins.
Charlotte/Chivas USA winner travels to the winner of Seattle and San Jose.

    this is interesting
Affiliates, the two clubs have too many things that tie them together. There are players that have moved up and down the between the two sides, coordinated marketing and, of course, the annual friendlies. The last came less than two weeks ago during the Union’s break in MLS play, and the lower division side managed to post a 3-2 victory. Garret Pettis scored twice, getting the opener in the 17th and what stood as the winner in the 75th. Yann Ekra scored the second go-ahead goal in the 55th after Jorge Perlaza had leveled just before halftime. Kai Herdling adding a free kick goal in the 81st. The match was the final night for coach Peter Nowak, who was released by the Union the following day.
..so i dont belive they will destroyed their friends, +1,5ah loook good. can somebody tell squads?

I have a feeling that this will become a new meme soon. Granted it's for a good cause, so I'm down with it.

the USSF has to come up with a better plan than this...as per the Seattle Times...

GM Hanauer understood that they submitted a bid that was equal to SKC and lost the #1 hosting rights for the USOC on -- wait for it -- a coin flip.

It's like penalties deciding a knockout game. People say, "There has to be a better way." Okay, then. Come up with one.

Don't get everyone started. Everyone has an idea and they've all expressed it in one place on BS or another.

Goes to show that MLS refs are bad... but they are not the worst that the USSF can offer us....

Not sure what you're referring to here.

If it was the alleged penalty in the 92nd minute, you are correct. That ref should absolutely given a yellow card for flagrant simulation.

Line judge closest to river end was sparse in calling fouls in front of them.
Lots of non calls early on - including soft calls - dictated the game to be awkwardly frustrating.
Lots of cards in the 2nd half towards us were founded due to the fact - we're going to get called for a foul, make it worth something.

Actually, I'm not. Pussies diving in the penalty area are a curse on the game. Pussies diving in the penalty area in the 92nd minute of a cup semi-final are a curse on a curse. It's embarrassing.

Avg. attendance from 3rd round on: 5,290. Total for the tournament (44 of 62 precincts reporting): 4,034, behind last year but ahead of most years.

If KC gets 20k for the final, it'll be the fourth-best attended tournament (by average) in modern history.

While it's nice to see them actually having an agreement for three years, I find it more than a little sad that the Centennial Final is being aired on such a small, out-of-the-way network. But it's the Open Cup. Its stature is slowing improving, I think. Maybe the 125th will be something that more generally noticeable.

Next year will be the 100th.

I'm guessing GolTV's relatively small distribution has contributed to its difficulty finding traction and keeping its top properties, just like I'd guess making a deal like this (for three years, rather than just a one-off) might be an indication it's going to attempt to stay in the game.
