Busan's average attendance has been slowly increasing in the last few years. They just need to accelerate the rate. And they are getting close to the title contender that they were used to be back in the 80's and 90's.

They pretty much peaked in 97 when Ahn Jung Hwan was part of their winning club. 2000s been really slow for them.

Nice advertisement by Daegu. Hopefully this will bring some more fans in for the Daegu-Gangwon game.

Had Daewoo not been collapsed, football would have been the king in Busan, not baseball.

What's with that Che Gueverra flag Suwon fans are always waving? Is there history behind it?

Most people don't know what Che Gueverra stood for. They think since the spread of his face in shirts and what not that it stands for being a rebel akin to being cool. A suave guy. Doesn't afraid of anything.

Che Guevara was a communist revolutionary and Marxist who helped Fidel Castro enslave Cuba. Hailed as a genius of Guerrilla Warfare even though most of his campaigns were failures. He killed many (thousands) innocent Cubans for refusing to be slaves of communism.

He was given the rank of commander of the La Cabaña Fortress prison, and during his five-month tenure in that post (Jan 02, 1959 - Jun 12, 1959), he oversaw the trial and execution of hundreds of members from the Bureau for the Repression of Communist Activities and officers serving Batista.

So, yeah, they have no ********ing idea.

What I meant to say was, is there a reason why the Suwon fans are waving that flag?

    Good post.

In defense of Che and him being labeled as a Guerrilla Warfare genius, a lot of his tactics are still used in South America.

A very insightful video to what is happening with the Split system right now, and the process of creating the second division.
Hopefully we get as many Seoul teams we can get in the league and hopefully Anyang is also included in the second division.
Jamsil, Anyang and Seoul and Suwon. We can get so many juicy derbies out of these teams.

Ah, was just about to post this.

    Just to summarize the video:

    1. Things seem to be going pretty smoothly

    2. 5 current N-league teams, and 4~5 new teams applied to be in the second division, but first they must go through an approval process. With the 2 K-league sides being dropped + the National Police team, I guess we're looking at around 8~10 teams next year in the second division.

    3. They didn't say explicitly which teams applied, but the N-league teams Chungju Hummel, Cheonan FC, Goyang KB, Ulsan Hyundai Mipo were mentioned in the video (the fifth, if I had to guess would be Ansan Hallelujah, although they probably won't be at Ansan next year anymore).

    4. Anyang and Bucheon keen on creating new teams to join the league, but Anyang city council recently rejected the proposal so I'd say they probably won't have a team by next year. They also spent quite a bit of time talking about a second team in Seoul (the Southeast, in the Gangnam area, with FC Seoul being based in the Northwest. If this happened, this would be my new team to support :D). I don't know if it's just speculation or a new Seoul team actually put in an application.

    5. The people at Sangju Sangmu proposed that they extend their stay at Sangju (apparently they had a 2 year deal with the city, and is looking to extend their deal another 2 years), and not be subject to automatic relegation. This proposal will be looked at in September.

    6. The split system has been getting favorable reviews, and looking likely to be in place again next year.

As a fan of Bluewings, I do want Anyang's comeback to K-League. The 'Jijidae' derby is the true definition of rivalry in football.
