Not bad. Late September - early November stretch is tough, especially with CL games in between. Other than that can't complain.
That is a very demanding 6 weeks or so but I think the upside is that injuries aside, by the time it is done we'll have had a chance to see most if not all of our attackers and work out our best team.
And mid-December through end of March (15 game stretch) is really where we should be getting close to max points.
It makes a bigg diifference once cl tiees are added.. All but 1 league game following a cl game is away! Best thing to that schedule is chelsea/ciity down the strech are home ties.
If this season has taught me anything... it is to never assume you know how things are going to pan out based on a fixture list.
Heres the other thing. we play two big boys, pool included in that, back to back in the league on more than 4 different occasions. T hat is ********ing god awful.
After the Derby we have Stoke and Arsenal away and Chelsea at home. City have Spurs away and dross. Add that to the CL + EPL away shenanigans. It's a bad draw for us this year.
Thanks FT. Maybe James or ROM could edit that into the first post. April looks like a tough month if we get far in the CL.
Yea... have a look at the full schedule that's up now and tell me it's not. That's without mentioning how many away games we have after CL fixtures.
Unlucky Fergie! Fixture list hands champions City huge edge over United Mancini Mob (and Chelsea) will play five of six PL fixtures immediately after Champions League at HOME... United will play five of their six AWAY! You what? Who's going to tell Fergie that the fixture list has stitched him up... Getty Premier League champions Manchester City have been handed an inadvertent boost in their bid to retain their title with the publication of next season's fixtures. Roberto Mancini's side will play five of their six matches immediately after Champions League games at the Etihad Stadium. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is unlikely to be impressed, however, with five away matches following European ties for his team. These include trips to north-west rivals Liverpool, Newcastle, Champions League winners Chelsea and Aston Villa ahead of, on December 8, the Manchester derby at the Etihad. Chelsea also have five matches at home post-Champions League games while Arsenal's six games have an equal split. City start their league defence with a home game against newly-promoted Southampton and finish at the Etihad against Norwich. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/fixture-list-gives-manchester-city-894959
tbh we thought the run in this past season was favourable and we bottled it. Maybe we'll do better with the tougher draw.
We have to play every team twice, we have a bunch of cup matches and some travel. These things even themselves out if not this year, the next and so forth. I think if we're deep into cups, there's a chance we have some form and that's a good thing imo
I always like to look at the around boxing day fixtures: December 26 Newcastle (H) 29 West Brom (H) January 1 Wigan (A)

sigh. there was a time when i didnt have to look at the fixture list. it was bring on all comers NOW. alas those days are gone and i am more concerned about my opponents fixture list hoping they would trip themselves up rather than looking at our fixtures list and thinking i can't wait to take on this team or that. not looking forward to this season at all!
