All BVB will be playing for is to get their game back to its peak for the CL Final, not to get anyone injured, and possibly to try to win Robert Lewandowski the Bundesliga goal-scoring title. Of course, the situation is different for our opponents. They have to beat us and have FC Augsburg OR Fortuna Düsseldorf lose to even have a chance at getting into the relegation playoff against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Augsburg will host already relegated SpVgg Greuther Fürth while Fortuna Düsseldorf travels to play Hannover 96.

Of course, Mario Götze will not play for BVB. However, I will be interested to see and hear the fan reaction when he is given his farewell before the match.

I know that Hoffenheim isn't the most threatening club, but I really doubt that Lewy will get that scoring title and we lose at the same time. Leverkusen facing HSV in their final match, I wonder if Kiessling will score?

Dude, I don't think anyone believes it will happen. I only put it in the poll because it isn't impossible.

You never know when you have one team fighting for their lives and the other team with bigger fish to fry at a later date.........

HSV will be desperate to send their fans into summer with good memories. HSV will fight to win that match. Whether they stop Kiessling or not, I don't know.

    They were.

I am happy for Hoffenheim. I don't like the club technically but I do like this team and want them to continue to play in the league.

Think this "rivalry" is silly anyway.

Hope this just doesn't affect the team psychologically and Hummels will be ok.

What "rivalry?" The fans against Hopp? Most fan bases in the BL hate Hoffenheim because they would not be there without Hopp's "sponsorship". BVB Fans are just more vehement about it. This is the one place where I feel BVB fans are being too "holier than thou."

Hoffenheim has been one of our "bogey clubs". However, I don't know of any real rivalry.

I have to say the way the team has looked the past two weeks does not bode well for next week.

Agree completely about the holier than thou attitude.

People forget that football can't function without money. Same with Dortmund. Hoffenheim have made some bad decisions but I don't think they consistently spent the money they actually had at their disposal and the dislike is unfair relative to how hard they had to work to make that investment work and come up into the league. Overall so silly to scapegoat Hoffenheim.

And Klopp confirms Hummels unlikely to play next week. Devastating if true.

This team cannot protect leads. Something to be worked on for sure.

That last minute equalizer we scored was disallowed due to offside from Lewandowski, right? Or was it from a foul. From my stream it looked like he didn't even touch it.
Anyway Kiessling scored in the 90th minute so Lewy doesn't get his title.

Ironic how we lost and got Lewy that goal (albeit not enough)

Hummels is now a doubt for the CL final.

correct. the call was offside because Lewa obstructed the view for the goal keeper.

now do i agree with that or not, is a totally different story.

i always thought that the hatred towards Hopp was because he apparently had some role to play in BVB going on to the stock exchange and almost going bankrupt....not the case?

This team has no killer instinct. This is one of the main things separating us from Bayern this season.

I would like to know your reasoning of killer instinct.

I would be interested in your view on that :)

Klopp was asked why he was having an argument with the Hoffenheim coach yesterday.

Klopp: "He asked me why I was getting so annoyed since BVB didn't need the point."
Q: "What did you say then?"
    Klopp: "But Düsseldorf does!"

It is really simple. When BVB gets a lead, the team relaxes too often and only adds on if it fits with the "fine/finesse style of play." More often than not, leads get blown.

This season, when you guys get a lead, you guys go for the f#cking jugular.

True killer instinct is something BVB has lacked for quite awhile.

Would you say bvb do better when they are leading or when they are down?

I have watched a lot of their games, but can't really seem to remember myself.

Maybe because I wasn't thinking about it at the time ;)

Depends on what you call "doing better." They play with more of a sense of urgency when they're down.

But they do OK when they're playing comfortably well too. I would just like to see them not "relax" when they take a lead in matches. They do this far too much.

I would really love to see us become a team who fights just as hard to turn a 1-0 lead into a 4-0 lead as we do to turn a 0-1 deficit into a 2-1 lead.
