has Kawashima been playing the full 90 mins in all these games? it seem he been conceding goals in every game except the Lierse match. haven't been able to keep a clean sheet... Is that normal? although it's still the beginning of the league.... things should get better soon. but its seems like something is amiss, not gelling with the DEF?
They have been playing 5 games and Kawashima have been playing of all them. 1 clean sheet. 6 goals allowed.
Not a good performance at all for Eiji: First goal is not totally his fault but the second yes, remember me that fk in Asian Cup 2011 against... Qatar? The one after the red card to Yoshida. Really hope he will not lose the starter spot.
yeah, it's bad goalkeeping but that one against Qatar was a real disaster, that was different. He was had bad reflexes here
I wonder what's up. hope he gets it going soon. If he can't impress even at this league, how can he in the bigger leagues?
you mean when he's at Lierse last season? Well, yes, but he haven't been like himself yet. that's why I wonder what was up. Standard Liege is supposed to be a step up from Lierse, but he's not doing any better. but it's only the beginning, so I'm confident he can shake it off to bring in some great perf.
He commited some mistakes at Lierse too, but overall he was brilliant there. I believe he can be as good at Standard Liège as well.
He save a lot of Nah.... second goal is not his fault too, the ball change direction when slightly touch by the wall player...
Maybe, however he's better than this. I really hope they will win the championship and try the EL/UCL in the 2013-2014 season before the WC.
also to notice the winner of the belgian league gets an automatic spot in the Champions League for next year. In case you didnt know already
He is letting more goals in for his new team than with Lierse almost, hope he and the defenders shape up.
I thought he was not at fault in any of the 4 goals he allowed. Also, he did one brilliant save when the game was 3-1.
I think only that his movement is not that good on the first goal and he was a bit unlucky on the last one. Nothing particular though
Any highlights? Frankly our only interest is that he had some experience and maybe play the next season in an international stage like EL/UCL. None cares about Standard...
Not for ruining your considerations, but if Standard keeps playing like this, Belgian League is the only competition which they will dispute in the next future.
I know. But I'm pretty sure they will do better in the future, so I'm not worry about their defence problems till Eiji will improve his skills by experience. That's all.
