He had a preconvocation by Zac but nothing more.
I'm a Otsu fan too, hope we will see him in Eredivisie as soon as possible!

Doubt Otsu would pull off a Honda, as in extremely unlikely, but it is a nice thought.

There's still a good possibility depending on the playing time he gets. At this stage of the Eerste Divisie season, Honda had just as many goals as Otsu does now

He can do better than Honda simply not moving in CSKA after a possible step up in Eredivisie.

Maybe if he can get some goal-scoring form at VVV, he could at least get a spot coming on from the bench. Since the Confederations Cup, it's not like all JNT spots are guaranteed or anything right?

The CAM and Winger positions are the only positions that does not lack in depth. Honda, Kagawa, Kiyotake, Inui, Okazaki, Kakitani, and so on... It's going to be a huge task.

We do lack depth in CB and CF, but otherwise it's not about "depth", it's about who raises the overall quality. That said Otsu will surely take some time to get there.

Would be great if he does, but I doubt he would get there. He just hasn't impressed after the Olympics. I hope I am proven wrong about Otsu.

Won a PK and scored the second goal today, he's in a good streak (plz don't talk about the NT).

2 consecutive starts and 2 consecutive games with goals, and a winning one at that. Why on Earth did they bench him before?

probably because he wasn't good enough ? visibly it lit a fire under his bottom.

Last time he was preconvocated. If he continues this way till november he will called up. Against Netherlands... He should not even move from where he lives :D

Now that's what I'd call 'a depressing season'.

VVV now are second in Jupiler League after winning against FC Eindhoven today. Otsu didn't play due to injury.
