    Add Carrie Dew and Kristi Eveland. Two good defensive options for World Cup season if any of ours are taken away. Dew will also be a help in the midfield.

    Sounds like some nice pick-ups for the backline. That was the area I worried about the most, it's good to see things coming together.

    Thanks to all who have or continue to contribute. Stop by here to drop or read the scoop anytime. :)

    So far the starting back line looks like Asante, Dew, Fletcher, and Taylor;

    Koster and Dowling coming back?

    Back at X-mas time, one of the SB players said Schnur was going to Atlanta, but it could be both now or just one.

    I'm glad Carrie Dew was taken. This kid is tough as nails.
    I've watched Notre Dame soccer now since the mid nineties and IMO, Carrie Dew is one of the best defenders that has ever come out of the University of Notre Dame.

    Christie Rampone chooses Washington Freedom/Magic Talk FC

    I have to eat crow over this; I really did not think she would move from SB due to family reasons. I guess with Lyons down there and already being away from NJ due to planned WNT residency, she felt better with the move. Her husband Chris is a real trooper.

    Only one of the original Jersey Girls is left!

    I never ruled it out because she did pack up to attend residency a few years back. Mike has been with her since she was a grasshopper. I also figured that if she were going to keep playing for SBFC then she would have signed already. Plus I thought it was weird that Tasha would leave and she would stay.

    I figured that much. The suspense is killing me. You're right no one wants to be paid peanuts especially if they're big name players.

    I am happy management at least lined up some good replacements. Also since the Carli news has come out, does anyone know if she was a part of the trade for Aluko, Heath, and someone else who my mind has skipped over at the moment?

    Carli was a free agent and had nothing to do with the trade

    So with Rampone, Kai, Rosana, White, Koster, ... out, that's actually to much for me :eek: To much of a new team so this year I'm just hoping to see great games from all teams, not really going to support one in particular...

    I hope it will be an exciting season, most teams look very good on paper. Let's see which of them truly connect on the field. I just hope the Flash will not rage like a hurricane through the season and take all excitement away.

    That's too bad. Understand that of the five you mention, three left on their own, by their choice. The other two were the coaches decision. The one that bothered me the most was Kacey. She is an incredible person and I really like her. Not to say the others aren't, but I think Kacey is special. As far as Rosana-just notice throughout the league that with the exception of Marta there are no Brazilian players signed anywhere. Think that there may be a reason for that?

    Focus on what we brought in, not what we lost. I think it's going to be a great season and I'm looking forward to watching the games om the stands!!!
