My best guess based on suspensions (I'm looking at you Hassli) and personnel available. [LINEUP-4-5-1]Camilo, Teibert, Salinas, Dunfield, Chiumiento, Akloul, Wagner, Boxall, Rochat, Leathers, Nolly[/LINEUP-4-5-1] with Chiumiento playing higher up the field that this graphic shows.
2 Wagners? Please no! One is too many! I'm not as anti-Nolly as some others seem to be, but I think it's time to give Cannon another shot if he's 100% healthy now.
Just wanted to say hello to you 'caps supporters. I will be in columbus for the match tomorrow with a group of about 250 others who bought tickets quite a while ago to see home town boy Michael Nanchoff play in his first season as a Whitecap. Of course he isnt fit yet so that is a bummer as is not getting to see Demerit and Hassli. Does anyone know if Salgado is likely to feature in the match? I imagine our group will be faily neutral but we'll try to throw a few shouts out for Vancouver. And most will be wearing the Whitecaps colors. Best of luck to you.
I'm 99.9% Sure that the Caps will start Salgado up front with Camilo... I can't see any circumstance that the Caps would employ one Striker being Camilo with Chiumiento supporting him from the hole... They are both too diminutive for the Caps Route 1 style. They could employ that style if they were to start Salgado, or had Hassli available or Harris fit to play. Just my $0.02 (and sorry to disagree WitC )
Johnny, you bastard. And just got word from The Province that Koffie is a go, so now maybe the lineup is like this (if JR is right)... [LINEUP-4-4-2]Salgado, Camilo, Teibert, Dunfield, Koffie, Chiumiento, Rochat, Boxall, Akloul, Leathers, Nolly[/LINEUP-4-4-2]
Totally agree. So how about a 4-2-3-1 ____________Salgado Tiebert_____Chiumiento________Salinas ______Koffie_________Dunfield Rochat____Akloul____Boxall____Leathers

And....we're off! The crowd looks a bit sparse in Columbus. Here's a link to watch if you don't have SN One. They have two streams overlapped and the audio for both are not synched so mute the volume on the embedded stream that you can see. http://www.sports-billet.eu/nba1.html
The link switched to mixed monkey arts unfortunately. I'm going to have to settle for the radio as there isn't any links. Damn, I really wanted to see how Salgado would play for more than 10 mins.
shocking Nolly got scored on twice again....bottom 3 in saves and bottom 3 in goals allowed.... what more do you want to know....
Troy Perkins earned a clean sheet today and Portland beat RSL! Perkins is a proven MLS veteran goal keeper. Portland is doing better than Vancouver...ouch. Nolly needs to sit and learn from Joe Cannon. Eventually, Nolly may be as good as Joe, but his mistakes are from inexperience in the "big league". Omar Salgado had a beautiful goal today, it was a joy to watch!
I thought what's his name (the coach) would have turned to Cannon about 3 weeks ago after Nolly's pitiful performance in Houston. I guess not. Don't know what is keeping the coach from giving Cannon at least a chance. I don't think that's accurate. Vancouver has looked quite good in stretches (and Portland quite bad in stretches) but injuries and suspensions have really killed Vancouver so far this year and kept them from being consistent and getting out of the gate. The injury to Demerit and constant suspensions of Hassli (both of their DPs) in particular are killing this team.
But injuries and suspensions are part of the game. They may be the main reason why Vancouver doesn't look good, but they don't look took good at the moment. I agree that Portland has looked awful at times, but they look in charge at home, something Vancouver hasn't looked in charge od since that comeback against Kansas City. Portland seems to be getting stronger....Vancouver the opposite. The coach seems to think he has something to prove by keeping Nolly in goal.
