I come in peace !!! What you should know about Chivas USA Forwards: lately we have been using Justin Braun and Alejandro Moreno Braun is coming out of an injury and is struggling putting the ball inside the net Moreno… he is just a good team player and is not know to be a lethal forward, he hold the ball and opens lots of spaces for the midfielders to push forward Midfield: I think these is our weakness we have not had a constant midfield since march 19 One our best guys is Mondaini Argentinean player that joined the club these year, Paolo Nagamura might see some action he is coming out of an injury Defense: getting better and better after every game we have 3 new guys so they are working hads to get the back line solid Pierce join the club these year from Dallas, Conrad came from Sporting Boyens came from new york The last two games we have had Dan Kennedy and he has ben doing better than Z. Thornton Hope we bring at least 1 point if we win that would be crazy… just because we have not been able to win at home...good luck Awante Union Ultras la banda loka de Chivas USA
I have a reasonably good feeling about this match. 6 days off, Hassli back, home game, Chivas really struggling. The bad though is bad: no Dunfield, DeMerit. Still, I'm optimisitic. 3-2 Vancouver is my guess.
--------Hassli--------Camilo--------- Teibert--Koffie----Khalfan----Chiumiento Rochat----Boxall----Akloul----Leathers -------------Cannon----------------- My ideal starting XI, with Nolly, Thorrington, Harmse, Harris, Knight, Tan, and Wagner as subs... ~I could be missing someone obvious, I just threw that out there off the top of my head.
I;m pretty sure TT will start Harris with Hassli, and I understood that Koffie was gone on the call-up to Ghana. The CM is the one part of the field I am worried about against Chivas. We were badly outplayed in the centre of the pitch last game and couldn't build anything. I fear the same problems against Chivas.
When will we see Joe Cannon play? Without any of our captains on the field and the way we have been giving up goals, I think Joe's leadership, experience, and direction is needed! Last year with the Quakes, before he was injured, he had 6 shutouts in 12 games!!!
That looks pretty good, minus Koffie. If Thorrington is out, then we have a big hole in the middle. I hope TT doesn't push Rochat up again that was a bad idea, he's much better in the back. I'd say put Harmse in the middle and maybe sub in Brovsky if needed or give Morfaw his debut. I really hope we start with Cannon this time.
Chivas is bad this year. What about moving Chiumiento into center? Seems like a guy you always want to touch the ball. He has great vision, passing and dribbling. I am not sure about the physicality the center will bring though.
You can't play with Davide in the middle of the park if you're going with two up front, you end up giving up too much time and space defensively through the middle of the park. Chiumiento is all about going forward. I really rate Morfaw highly, hopefully it's either him or Harmse partnering Khalfan while Koffie & Dunfield are away.
What you should really know about ChivasUSA is that they are more physical than Philadelphia. If you thought Philly was bad with the brutal tackles & hacking... Good luck, beat the Goats!
just came back from the game. i will try and upload some photos to freshen up the thread. vancouver whitecaps' attack was pretty good during the first half two shots hit the post, and one shot blocked by chivas defender. chivas' counter attack was quick, but jay nolly was the hero of the match. the chinese striker tan long hyped up the attack abit with his volley-pass, but nothing was materialized
What was up with all the red I saw in the stands, today? I'm assuming it was for some special occasion?
Are you sure you aren't thinking about the Toronto game? Just checked the DVR and don't see any red in the stands, and didn't while at the game.
Lol. Nah. Surely there weren't that many there. Perhaps it was the way the game's picture translated to my computer. Because it look like at least 25% of the fans were wearing either red or pink (i couldn't tell). But, you all's responses answered my question.
