I thought so too, but on the other hand even as an 18 y.o. not to add the word 'personally' he should know how this is going to be interpreted.

From the whole interview, positively put, he seems to be a confident boy. Negatively put, oh well...

U13 International Tournament in Seoul 2005. Footage from the final in which Takagi scored both goals and Usami assisted.
Miyaichi and Sugimoto were in the squad as well.

In case you don't mind reading from Goal.com, which we all know is a "laughingstock among those who know football," here is an original interview with Yoshiaki Takagi, the first ever in English, that has also been translated (with permission!!) in Dutch.

    http://www.goal.com/en/news/14/asia...-japanese-signing-yoshiaki-takagi-wants-to-be

Please read only if it doesn't make you feel you're a hypocrite. :)

Coming soon: more laughters from Hosogai and Endo, hopefully Ienaga as well, as I know a lot of people ;)

Those final words by Kazama is what makes or breaks a career and also the reason why Mizuno failed. This kid is probably a lot safer in that sense.

Was back on the bench on Friday for the first time in a couple of months.

Still don't understand this transfer at all.

Already 0-4 (this is Eredivisie after all), Takagi has had a couple of quality touches where he set up the best chances of his team. He's timid but he's been able to show what he was capable of.
Utrecht seriously need to learn how to defend.

    edit : 0-5 ................................

Worst game for him to start it seems. Is Sneijder's brother injured?

No, Sneijder was left on the bench for the whole match. Glad Takagi finally got his Utrecht debut, maybe Wouters beginning to prefer Takagi to Tommy Oar (Current Olyroo, very similar type to Takagi).

  24. He is starting against Feyenoord.

That's good to hear, i might watch seeing as I'm already up.

Looks like he has a bit of a license to just roam the midfield (or he's just not positioning possibly lol).

Overall it's great to see that he has won the starting place over Tommy Oar, an Australian international (considered their next Kewell by some)

    edit:

    Takagi assist!! From a FK.
