Winning back to back titles will be difficult. LeBron has learned what it takes to win, but sometimes winning is a great equalizer if the hunger has been satisfied. Also, everyone will be looking to beat the Heat.

Given LeBron's personality, I wonder whether he will have the same drive for winning a second title as his first. He didn't demonstrate up until this playoff run the desire and determination to win.

Thanks for reminding me I didn't get everything wrong with that OKC crushing the Heat pick :) I do think that came true - Shane is such a do everything, all the dirty work, never show up on the stat sheet kind of player that just helps teams win. Not to mention his crazy 3 point shooting in the Finals.

Unfortunately, there are no teams that can stop them. I thought the Thunder had the best shout.

Unless some major moves are made,

I celebrated to the wee hours of the morning. The streets were packed.

I wonder how hungry Lebron will be to win again. Also, Ray Alllen sounds like a plan as does Jason Terry.

"We need a leader. You know who I think the black leader should be?

Who I think the black leader should be?

    Pat Riley.
    Coach Pat Riley.
No man has led more black men to the promised land...
    than Coach Pat Riley.
He may not get us to the mountaintop,
but he'll get us to the playoffs.

    And that's all we want."

Riley can't be the leader- he's still doing penance for playing his college ball under Adolph Rupp. He was a starter on the 1966 Wildcats team that lost to Texas Western (now UTEP). I mean, I like him and all, but couldn't he have played for John Wooden or someone?

Why can't you? Rupp's their winningest coach, and there's still people out there who don't use racial tolerance as the first litmus test of a person's character. More often than not, they'll play the "judge a man by his era" card, as tho there was no one in the American South at the time who didn't recognize the evils of deliberate or de facto segregation. Black people recognized it, but no one bothered to ask. So did quite a few Whites.

Plenty of SEC football stadia are named for people who did less than they could have to rehab America, or at least its sports landscape (Kentucky's a basketball school, so they'd laud their accomplishments in that sport). It's not completely limited to Dixie, either. Do some reading on the University of North Dakota's mascot controversy when you get a chance if you want an example of how money triumphs over values.

I congratulated LeBron and the Heat.
I'm not sure how much credit you deserve as a member of the Heat's 101st Keyboardists. :D

Alright man apologies and we were just messin with you. But you were just asking for it.

At least in our Manchester United board, it irks our members and we poke fun of those who post things when it was already covered or did not properly read the the thread prior to the post. As can benni can attest, I have had my fair share of that. :p

Perhaps I am bias. I am deeply involved in the club and party LA scene, and I see fights and rumbles almost on a weekly basis. I do not see anyone suing the club or putting the responsibility on the club. Twenty million? Dude, the guy has money, and has insurance to fix his precious eye.

Oh - I agree on hating this kind of lawsuit. I wouldn't wish scary eye injury on him though and am not without some sympathy.
