Re: Yuki Abe's Thread [R] http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2391491,00.html "Abe's energy around the middle of the park will have pleased his manager"... But he didn't play in another friendly against Real Mallorca yesterday. Wonder if Ienaga played. Edit: Ienaga didn't play due to minor injury.
Re: Yuki Abe's Thread [R] Abe has been used as a kinda hardcore DM and SGE was always going to try more aggressive setup given opportunity and that seems to be happening this preseason. Abe has been a bit too industrious in grassroots sorta way so it makes sense to me. If you think about it Abe was deployed like that by Okada in his insane Nurikabe tactics and he might not have been in there if it weren't for that.
Re: Yuki Abe's Thread [R] A COMPLETEY different starting XI played both games. They have a game coming up against Real Madrid.
Re: Yuki Abe's Thread [R] http://blog.lirionet.jp/aki14/2011/07/post-56a0.html Yes, there were only 2 days inbetween and that's why Abe was not used against Mallorca, according to Ienaga. Their teams even stayed in the same hotel.
Re: Yuki Abe's Thread [R] I hope that's the only reason honestly. I said what I said based on the line up but possibly SGE tested some different combination of players in which case my guess will likely be wrong.
Re: Yuki Abe's Thread [R] I guess Yuki Abe starting against Real and playing well into 2nd half means that Erikson considers him first-team, for now. Re: Yuki Abe's Thread [R] At least one japanese player is starting. Thank you Abe. Vassel got a red card in the first so it could be tough for Leicester.
Re: Yuki Abe's Thread [R] Leicester won away to Coventry. Full match for Abe. Soccernet still not correcting his name after 1 year which should be embarassing for them and not for Abe.
What a weekend, Abe scored against Brighton! Edit: Funnily it's been former Urawa players making the headlines today. Is there something to read into that?
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhVEbSlQPnI"]?????????? - YouTube[/ame] Great goal by Abe-chan and apparently he was involved in the play leading to the opponent sent off.
I heard on match-reports that Abe was deployed in a more offensive midfield role and was very good there.
Abe reportedly assisted the second goal in a 2-0 against Watford yesterday with a cross from the right.
Re: Yuki Abe's Thread [R] http://www.soccerway.com/matches/20...onship/leicester-city-fc/millwall-fc/1119781/ I just saw it here. Well, I guess official website is a more reliable source.
Anyone know if Abe-chan's injured? Anyway: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2056403/Roy-Keane-set-Leicester-managers-job.html
