I guess Bochum would get shredded if they ever get promoted. but it's a test match after players coming back from break, so I'm guessing it's normal. They need to get into match fitness.

Specifically, How did Takashi Inui do?

No mention of him in the report.

Well, one good pass is mentioned.

Against Rubin Kazan a game in which they lost 2:1

    So not bad for Inui

It was a header and he was fielded as one of two forwards (the other one being Tese) which I hope is not how they will be playing in competitive games.

Inui's teammate Tese apparently on the verge of a move to 1. FC Köln. Said to undergo a medical today.

Wonder if Makino would have stayed if he knew that.

Meanwhile Inui stays in Bundesliga II ... But they can't afford to lose him now.
I think he's gone during the summer.

    Inui's window comes in summer.

They've improved much under Bergmann and I think Inui will benefit from playing at least one season in a team which is centered around him before moving on - as he doesn't have to start at zero elsewhere. Also, I think he's the kind of character who doesn't take it too well if he rises too much too soon...

Btw, his goal against Düsseldorf was voted goal of the year by their supporters:

I have the opposite impression, he's a guy so confident about his abilities that he could play everywhere if he wanted to. Usually japanese players in Europe need a period of adaptation, he was good from the get go. I could really see him in a big club because he has the skills, I had the assumption before the Bayern match but after that, I was 100% affirmative.

I also think that Inui will play in the BL next season. I have watched him several times at Bochum and I am pretty sure that there are a number of Bundesliga teams who could use his service.

In the end I see him on a bigger stage too, but I don't think it's bad for him if he stays this season or even another. He has near total freedom in Bochum's midfield, he is central for their game, and he plays every match full whereas somewhere else these privileges would not be granted.

What is his tally, goal and assist for Bochum? He's been great for Bochum, from what I heard, and rarely did I heard him having a bad day... well, maybe once. His performance against Bayern in the Cup match was great.

I checked the Bundesliga site, he is Bochum's top scorer.
Bochum's 2nd are Aydin and Chong Tese, both have 4 goals, 2 assists.

It also seems the attack revolves around Inui, I'm guessing alot of people have faith in him.
