He's not a youtube player so its hard!!
This one is old and doesn't really show his strength but he's goals from Urawa days.

    LOL

They turned Hasebe's life into a drama.....

Man, his parents are typical Japanese parents.

I have to admit that I got teary-eyed during the part when he was in high school

VFL Wolfsburg loose a test match with 0:2 against Sønderjysk Elitesport from the 1st danish league but Felix Magath says it was no wonder after the hard training, everyone was very tired.

22 Players were given a chance in the game:

First half : Lenz – Schulze, Kjaer, Thoelke, Schäfer – Polak – Cigerci, Dejagah – Kahlenberg – Scheidhauer, Mandzukic.

Seond Half: Hitz – Pekarik, Riether, Madlung, Hartherz – Josué – Ochs, Hasebe – Helmes – Koo, Lakic

Felix Magath point out Mandzukic,Lakic,Hasebe and Koo as one of the most impressive players of the game,he said that these 4 played a very good game. Also Makoto has a very good chance to score !
Good for Hasebe after the last dissapointing season that he continue with a good pre-season ;D

Makoto was named as one of the best players in the Pre-Season by Felix Magath. He said that Hasebe's fitnesslevel is along with a few other players the best in the team and that the hard training is no problem for him in compare to the others.Sounds very good,I only hear the best things when Magath talks about Makoto Hasebe since he arrive in Germany. It looks like he would be a starter as usual.

Magath is definitely a fan of Japanese players, since their mentality seems to fit to his style of coaching...

    Re: Makoto Hasebe's Thread [R]

Magath expects discipline from his players, and tbh if there is one thing that the Japanese players are good at is doing exactly what their superior says with unconditional obedience. Your most likely not gonna see a Japanese player with a mentality like that of Diego, Ronaldo, or Neymar, an "egoist" as you might say, that was the difference between the U-17 Japan and Brazil, Japan played very collectively but in the end they lost to a Brazil side who can play both collectively and individually.

I'm tempted to call this trolling.

Makino, Tulio, Honda, Kagawa, Usami off the top of my head are egotistic players.

You seem like you didn't watch the Japan-Brazil U17 game. It was very clear that the difference was mentality, they just let the occasion get to them a bit.

    Re: Makoto Hasebe's Thread [R]

I can see that what I said was misinterpreted, I wasnt trying to belittle the Japanese players but only trying to point out their weakness, yes those players that you named are in a sense "egoististic" but I was watching the sports news Going! and happened to catch Makino on it and even he was saying during training (with Klon) anytime he would make a wrong pass or what not he would all ways apologise, I just think that many but not all Japanese are timid, not greedy and sometimes intimidated by stong opposition, I mean how many times do you see a Japanese player score a hattrick in the J-League, not very often. Japan are very great when it comes to playing as a unit, but I just wish they had the boldness and the audacity of some of the top players in Europe.

And no youre right I did not see the Brazil v Japan, but dont get me wrong I love the JNT, and ill allways support them!

Guys, Magath says he likes the professionalism of Japanese players. Furthermore, he says that there is a degree of professionalism with Japanese players he doesn't usually see with German players.

"Mentality" is something different and used in this context, tends to generalize.

Hasebe scored (3-0) and assisted with a corner (1-0) in Wolfsburg's 13-0 victory

    http://www.waz-online.de/Wolfsburg/WAZ-Sport/VfL-Wolfsburg/13-0!-VfL-gewinnt-Test-beim-SC-Gitter

In another 16-2 victory Makoto scored again !!!

Looks like he is on fire with more offensive power alltough the oponents are not top.Would be nice to see him score maybe 3-5 goals in the new season with a couple of assists =)
Also,he sad in an interview before the pre-season was starting in Germany that he did a special individuall training in his holidays. That's the reason why he is so fit today.
He wants to earn the german championship again with Wolfsburg and his first goal is the European or Champions League before he leaves Wolfsburg when the time is right to came back to Japan.Hasebe told that he would only play for VFL Wolfsburg in Germany.

I do not find part 1 but this is a pretty interesting show. Part documentary, part talk show.

In the clips Hasebe talks with Yuki Abe, the actor Eiichiro Funakoshi and Kazutoshi Sakurai from Mr Children.

Wolfsburg played a friendly match with our 1. league team (the one who should have been relegated - but long story short was not) Triglac Kranj is the name of the club

And our guys won 0:1 hehe

Anyway Hasebe played and managed to get a good cross from a corner which resulted in a shot coming off the post.

Wolfsburg didn't play well and Magath commented after the game that he knows they are no where near the level required for Bundesliga

    here are some "highlights"
