Hooray! Ucchi will have a great occasion to watch Hasebe playing against his team together with members of his official cheering tour!!!!!!!!!

At least they get a handshake and a dinner with Ucchi, and Yoshida gets an opportunity to advertise his book.

 

Surprisingly enough both Uchida and Hasebe starts. Now I can watch the game.

 

Wow, this is so random what's going on with Ucchi.

One week starts, next starts again but subbed at HT. Then out of the squad for the next two games and now thrust into the starting XI again.

Well for the time being I'm glad he's starting

 

Höwedes collected his 5th card, and Uchida still seems to be above Hoogland, I didn't expect that.

 

Ucchi looks good today. Cleared what would have been a golden chance for Wolfsburg, had an amazing run and crossed well (but play was falsely called offside).

 

Uchida gets some pitch time, after Metzelder sustained injury.

shaky in defense + good attacking runs + cleared the ball on the line = ok game

I think he should go on a camp where he trains crossing 24 hours a day.

Nice link up between Höger and Ucchi on the right and a perfect cross.

 

Good play by Uchida, probably starting to realise that Sakai is breathing down his neck for that RB spot.

 

It wouldn't wonder me if he was subbed off at HT. Looks out of sorts.

 

Strong 2nd half from Uchida so far, had a nice hockey assist on Schalke´s 3rd goal.

 

Always looks a bit light on defense, I haven't seen the awesome Uchida who played against Lyon for exemple. I guess it will come with the games, now Stevens needs to understand Howedes at right back is a waste.

And good to see they keep winning with him on the team. It's the most important.

 

Completely different performance by him in the 2nd half, also the balance of the game shifted to Schalke of course with them having to come back, but also to his side. Almost every attack which was not a counter came from the right it seemed.

These scenes when he gives away the ball though...

 

Quite amazed how Uchida is becoming better and better, even defensively.
